giving my feed a never-made-it-to-the-movie treat
I finally watched the Haikyuu movie (wow I'm late ik) and the entire time I could not stop grinning because like, these are my stupid volleyball children and look at how far they've come 😭
Anyways here are some assorted thoughts:
Fukunaga's jokes hit just as hard as ever, I love his deadpan humor so much (like what do you mean fatalities are rare in volleyball? and why was that shit so funny)
So many great Kenma + Hinata moments (I love how they push each other to be better + the way Hinata screamed when Kenma said he was having fun aaaaaa I almost burst into tears)
The way I screamed in happiness when Tsukishima + Yamaguchi did their serve and block routine (both of them have come so far the flashback sequence nearly brought me to tears)
ALSO more baby Kuroo yesssss (I love him sm)
Tendou's commentary was much appreciated (pls get a life man)
The Nekoma third years nearly made me cry at the end
AND whoever made the decision to have the last rally play out completely from Kenma's prespective was an absolute genius. They didn't have much time to show the whole match the way the manga did so I'm happy that they were able to capture the feeling that it was like a practice game to all the players towards the end
Hinata and Kageyama were hilarious as always (why is Kageyama such a buzzkill lmao, my boy has no emotions except volleyball)
I am not ready for the emotional damage the next match is going to serve up 😭 BUT I'm so so happy that we're getting another season instead of two movies where they'd have to rush/ cut out certain arcs
i have no clue who wins in this match but i know i'll cry either way
yknow watching the battle of the garbage dump is hilarious with bird flu currently on the rise. keep your cats indoors folks.
I wish The Battle of The Garbage Dump was a full season instead of an hour plus long movie. So much contents weren't included
Still, I really enjoyed it but I want more
lol when i re-read the Battle of the Garbage Dump on the manga i realise how pitiful the movie adaptation was
i will never not communicate how disrespectful and fucked up it is that the battle of the garbage dump match is a FUCKING MOVIE and not a season of its own. i can't even imagine how pissed fans who have been here from the jump are and forever will be because we were robbed of not only a season of that but multiple seasons to close out the series in the right way.
Haikyuu Dumpster Battle Last Match ❤
Since I sadly didn't get to go to the Haikyuu exhibition in Sendai, I just definitely had to watch the last screening of the movie!
I really enjoyed the movie and the aftertalk with the seiyuus, even though I'm still not that good at Japanese. I had a great day^^
Luckily, there was also the 33.5 volume distributed❤
