These rings represent four years of dedication, effort, and many shared experiences that bring both spiritual and academic growth to the lives of students. They are a reminder of the persistence and call of God for them. The rings represent the sacrifice that the students make in leaving everything in their home countries to come to prepare and be at the service of the kingdom of God. “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:15 This path runs through most of the campus, starting from the entrance of the institute to the administrative area, where the classrooms are also located. There are many who have traveled this path looking for a better preparation to give their lives in service to the kingdom of God. 75 Baxter Graduates Gather. Our students do so much to be able to come to Baxter, including sacrifice. Recent graduate Deury Medina from the Dominican Republic was reunited with his family after his four years at Baxter! Deury, like many other students, wasn’t able to go home to visit his family during his time here and we rejoice with him and his ability to be reunited with them! Celebrating 19 Years! It was a joy to worship with the Church - Mary Flakes de Flores in greater Tegucigalpa. Second Cuban Mission Team Launches Their Work. We are thrilled to announce that the Yosbel and Dianelys Sori (graduates 2017) and Henry and Nelkys Sori (2018) have initiated a church plant in Artemisa, Cuba. It is awesome to see three Baxter graduates who make up first Cuban team present and encouraging them. Also present were numerous Cuban church leaders along with Baxter board chair Norm Easter and Denise, former Baxter president Calvin Henry and Linda. GUATEMALAN CONFERENCES APRIL 17-21. They were held in La Campesina, Rio Bravo, Suchitepequez. Baxter graduate and organizer of the event, Roberto Alvarez, stated, “It marks 55 years holding this conference on the national level in Guatemala. The attendance was 5,000 from Guatemala, El Salvador and Mexico.” Other Guatemalan Baxter graduates were also involved in the planning and organizing. “Baxter Graduates are Special!” Joe and Elaine shared this note and photos. “My wife and I have been attending graduation at Baxter since 1988. From the very first visit, we fell in love with the school. We were able to convince the Maple Hill Church in Lebanon, TN to begin supporting a student. Our first student Juan Carlos Santamaria graduated in 1995. All total we currently support 10 Baxter Graduates. We have tried to bless their lives, but they have been the ones who have blessed us. Recently, Elaine and I visited with 4 of these graduates. We stayed in their homes and shared discussions and prayer time.
