Edison Castro Tells All. Edison shares his numerous experiences at our clinic, the national hospitals, with our doctors, Hondurans and our students: “As my trip comes to an end, I want to express my gratitude to all my friends old and new who made feel at home while far away from family, while in Honduras. I am humbled and honored for the opportunity to serve my patients in Honduras. Thank you so much for allowing me to enter your lives. Thank you for giving me the chance to heal your wounds, relieve some of your pain or perhaps just listen to your story. I’m here to help you recover, get you back on your feet, so you can take care of yourself and your family. I’m your doctor, your friend, your confident, so don’t doubt for a second to come see me whenever you need me.” Edison had been to Baxter on a one brigade, while this time he and two other VCOM students did a full month’s rotation. One highlight was the generosity and love showed to the children and parents in our nutrition program with a party and clothes giveaway for them.
