My head canon - Dick is a fashion icon, has been since he was a kid.

Dick dresses comfortably at home and doesn’t care for fashion but when he goes out in public he dresses up in the clothes Bruce bought him, but he likes to accessorize with cheap things (especially colorful things cuz he’s a kid) which become popular after he’s seen wearing them.

So basically Dick being a celebrity kid with a billionaire dad and getting his pictures taken by Gotham paparazzi and getting magazine spreads like these of him. He’s a trend setter and fashionista. So don’t tell me Dick Grayson is a fashion disaster.
