“Why do you eat it like that?” BamBam continued to stare at you as you ate your pizza.

You wiped your mouth with a napkin. “Eat it like what?”

“You eat without using your lips,” he said while laughing. “Do you have on lipgloss or something?”

You did, in fact, have lipgloss on and didn’t want to ruin it. Therefore, you might have been eating the pizza a little differently than normal. But still, it was fun to amuse him. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m eating normally right now.” You took another all-teeth bite and smiled smugly at him.

Bam picked up his half eaten slice and said he’d show you what you look like.

You rolled your eyes and watched him mimic you as you ate. As he licked his lips exaggeratedly, you gave him a slap on the arm and continued to eat, the normal way this time.

“Aw, did I hurt your feelings?” Bam didn’t go easy with the sarcasm. “Here, I’ll eat your way too.”

The two of you kept eating in the weird way until you were finished.

At the end of your meal, Bam’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Let’s go see how you eat ice cream!”

Ok, Dear Anon, I’ll give it a try. Here goes!

BB slammed the door behind him as he entered their apartment. He shoved his keys into his coat pocket before removing it, absently hanging it on the coat hook.

“I’m home,” he called out into the empty room.  He skulked towards the bedroom. “This case is a difficult one to say the least, plus it’s nearly impossible to get anywhere with the other detectives trying to upstage me.”

He was grateful she never asked him for details about his “work”.

“I can’t get into it, but all in all, I’m just glad to be-“ he paused mid-sentence, tongue-tied by what awaited him.

She lay languidly across the rose-colored comforter, the curves of her body only vaguely obscured by black lace and fishnet thigh-highs. “You prefer the lights on, correct?” a sly smile danced on her ruby red lips.

He returned the smile, sharp eye-teeth drawing all her attention. Grabbing the back of his shirt, he pulled it off and flung it to the floor. He then unbuttoned his pants and let them fall from his muscular frame before he pounced on his Love, making the bed rattle under them.

She breathed deeply, reveling in the scent of his skin, musky and sweet. He pressed a hard kiss to her mouth, transferring her smile onto his.  He ran his hand down her to her leg, weaving his fingers between the netting that hugged her, letting his other hand caress the unevenness of the lace concealing her from him.

“Was this expensive?” he asked through husky breaths, tugging roughly at the delicate fabric.

“Does it matter?” she replied, letting a muffled giggle escaped between his persistent and aggressive kisses.

He tore at the satin ribbon that held the flimsy pieces of cloth together, ripping the seam when the knot refused to yield to his wants.  He pulled her up and into his lap, licking the now exposed skin that was restricted from him moments ago. With destructive intentions, he clawed and scratched at the remaining lace that clung precariously to her body, tossing the destroyed garment to the floor. He immediately threw her backwards on the bed, hovering over her warmth.

“So did you like my surprise or not?” She laughed breathlessly as she wrapped her legs up and around his hips.

“Very much, but it was preventing me from what really I wanted.” He reached back and ran his hand up her thigh, once again intertwining his fingers through the mesh of her stockings. “However, I insist you keep the fishnets on for the rest of the evening.”

Rolling over I place my hand down onto his chest, feeling his heart beating softly against his chest. I mumble quietly and his body shifts to face mine, his hand rests on my waist. “Morning, doll.” He whispers as his eyes open, focusing on mine with a sweet smile. 

These kind of mornings were our favourite. The two of us were left, undisturbed. Outside the rest of the City could continue living their lives whilst we could remain isolated in bed together. We’d make breakfast together and dance to music from the 1940′s, just as he wished. 

I would play with his hair as it hangs in his face. He would sit between my legs as I would attempt to plait it as the news plays on the TV in the mornings and he would read the local newspaper, avoiding the biggest headlines concerning those closest to him. 

That part of his life was something I’ll never comprehend. It was something he kept me shielded from, that with me he could be James, but in that part of his life, he is still living in the shadow of the winter soldier. 

“What do you wanna do today?” He asks as he lifts his hand up, his skin cool against my cheek as he kisses me lightly. 

Rubbing my lips together I pause for thought, seeing him patiently waiting. “Well, it is Sunday.” I comment before stretching out to check the time. 7:24am. “How about waffles?” 

He smiles before sitting up and I copy him. “Waffles it is.” 

We slowly get up, the two of us refusing to help the other as we admire each other. I can’t help but watch him as he stands shirtless. His chest is always warm and soft, the only part that he considers rough is where the join to his metal arm is. But he’s no longer self-conscious of it knowing I don’t care.

Sometimes we sit on the sofa and discuss battle scars. He explains all of them, one by one if he can remember them. I sit and listen as I lightly touch them. The one where his arm joins the metal was the hardest one for him to show. He was nervous of me seeing it, but I lightly traced it with my fingertip and it wasn’t scary, not in the way he made it out to be. 

He always says it’s a reminder of what they did to him, the people he doesn’t really talk about. 

Here we keep it light-hearted, it’s our little safe haven.

Slipping my coat on I patiently wait for Bucky as he grabs a hair band, tieing his hair into a low bun before slipping a cap on. “You look good.” He mutters as he reaches past me, his hand resting on my forearm as he slips his glove on, covering his metal hand. 

“You smell good.” I reply and he smiles before kissing me lightly. 

As we walk through the streets towards our usual breakfast spot he always keeps a hold of my hand, never letting go. “If I let go, I’m scared I’ll lose you.” He always says. 

It is the kind of thing a child is told by their parents growing up. But this brings a whole new meaning to the phrase. If I let go of his hand I could easily be lost, or he could be taken. So for the sake of safety, he keeps a tight hold of my hand or his arm resting around my waist. Something so he can be close to me at all times when we’re out together. 

Nearing the cafe he holds the door open, “Why thank you, James.” I tell him and see that smile. The smile he gets when I call him by his first name, something only I and Steve have the privilege of using. 

“If it isn’t the lovebirds,” I smile as we walk over to the counter where Anastasia stands, leaning over the glass as we take a look at the options we’ve memorised at this point. “how’re you two doing? Been a while since you’ve been in.” She looks between the two of us as I search James’ eyes for a reason. 

“We’ve been away a lot lately,” James comments. 

“Yeah, works been taking both of us all over the place.” I sigh deeply and Anastasia merely nods. “Can we get the Berry Waffles to go please?” Moving the conversation along she writes it down before walking away, leaving us to sit at a table whilst we wait. 

“I didn’t realise it’s been that long,” James states as he leans in towards me before glancing back to see Anatasia watching. 

I shrug my shoulders, not thinking much of it. “Neither did I. But this is the first time you’ve been back and stayed home for a while.” 

He pulls on his hat, trying not to be noticed by anyone here. 

That is something I’ve become accustomed to over time. The fact that in a city full of people wanting to be noticed all he wants to do is blend in, hide away and live a normal life. Well, as normal of a life that’s possible for him. 

Behind us, the bell rings. “Orders up.” Anastasia calls out and I walk over, handing her the cash before thanking her. “Don’t be a stranger, Y/n. See you soon.” She mutters before passing me the bag and I walk over to James, taking his hand and heading out of the cafe. 

Glancing back I watch as Anastasia stands there at the counter, watching us leave.

As we sit eating breakfast I can’t help but think about how she was acting. “Penny for your thoughts?” James interrupts my deep thinking and I snap out of it, focusing on him as a piece of waffle hangs out of his mouth. 

I laugh quietly at the sight before he tilts his head back, shoving it into his mouth greedily. “I was just thinking about Ana,” I admit and he swallows his mouthful before resting his elbows on the table, focusing on me. “she was just a bit off today. Saying for me to not be a stranger and other things.” 

Furrowing his brows he stands up before standing behind me, wrapping his arms around my shoulders. “Well I’m not willing to share you that easy,” He mutters as he rests his head on mine. “can we watch a movie today? I still don’t understand how it all works doll.” 

A small chuckle escapes from me as I pat his metal arm lightly as we finish eating breakfast and he waits for me to set Netflix up before choosing a horror for us both to watch. 

“You sure you don’t want a cushion?” I ask holding up a fluffy cushion for him to use but he pushes it away. 

“Y/n, doll. I’m not afraid of much, I think I can handle a horror movie.” 

Sitting half behind the cushion I continue to jump at the scenes when the Nun reappears. “Buck?” I mumble and turn my head seeing him holding the fluffy cushion over his entire face. 

“I’m not watching it Y/n.” He mumbles through the cushion. “Let me know when it’s over.” He turns his head to look at me and all I do is smile, shaking my head in disbelief. 

“So much for not being afraid of much.” I remark and he throws his pillow at me,, hitting my stomach causing me to curl up. 

“Oh shit, you okay?” He nervously asks and leans over, but quickly I slam my cushion over his head and watch as he begins to fall and grabs a hold of me. 

He hits the floor with me landing on top of him. “Glad I got that rug now, huh?” I raise my eyebrow and he simply smirks before lifting his head up to bring me into a deep kiss. 

As he deepens the kiss I can feel his hands resting on my bum, squeezing it. But, before we’re able to take things any further his phone starts ringing. “Buck,” I mumble as he begins to kiss my neck. “you better get, get that.” 

We both know who it is, considering he is the only other person who has his phone number. 

“He’ll call back,” Bucky mumbles into my neck before biting it lightly causing me to moan. 

And then my phone starts ringing. “Yeah, you need to answer it.” I sigh as I sit upright, climbing off of his lap much to his disappointment before picking up my phone. “Hey Steve,” I say cheerfully whilst James remains on the ground, his arms folded. 

“Hey, is Bucky with you?” He asks and I glance down, but he shakes his head. 

“He actually popped out to get me some cough medicine, you see I’ve developed this cough,” I force a cough and I watch as Bucky shakes his head in disbelief. “so he should be back soon.” 

A long silence follows and I check my phone, seeing he is still on the line. “Y/n, I’m outside your apartment.” He states bluntly and I let out a sigh before standing up and heading over to the door. 

“Hold on then,” I groan as I open the door, hanging up as Steve walks in, looking around and not seeing his best friend. 

I motion to the floor in front of the sofa and Steve walks over and offers his hand. “Must be serious if you interrupted our alone time.” Bucky comments as he pulls his shirt back down. 

Steve ignores his remark entirely and clears his throat. “Fury’s got a mission for us. And he wants you in on it. Something about a new league of HYDRA has been spotted in Vienna.” 

Based on the worry that crosses his blue eyes I walk over and close the door. “I’ll leave you to talk.” I state before heading towards my bedroom, knowing it is the kind of thing Bucky tries to keep me out of when he can, and this is one of those times. 

Closing my bedroom door I start to make the bed after this morning. Organise a few things I’ve neglected and ignore my phone as notifications flood through from old friends. This is the kind of time I need to remain alert. 

A quiet knock on the door catches my attention as I lay the blanket back over the duvet. 

Bucky slips in and I can tell by his expression it isn’t good news. “They’re sending us to Vienna, doll.” He sighs as he walks over, embracing me in a tight hug. “I don’t know how long we’ll be gone. Could be a week, or a month.” I can feel his hand rising and stroking my hair whilst I keep my eyes closed, treasuring this whilst it still lasts. 

“It’s okay, James. It is your job after all.” I say, in hope my tone is supportive and not full of sadness. 

“I just don’t like leaving you alone that long.” He mutters into my hair as he kisses the top of my head. “Won’t you at least consider going to the compound, stay there for a few nights?” 

I shake my head and slip out of his hold. “I can’t, I still have to go to work, James.” I sadly admit and he lowers his head. “Hey,” I mutter as I place my fingertips under his jaw, lifting it so he focuses on me. “it’s a few weeks, we’ve handled worse.” 

He leans down, kissing me like it’s the last kiss he’ll ever have. 

As he pulls away he is slightly breathless. “And that’s to leave you wanting more, so I know I have to come back, doll.” He smiles before he grabs a hold of his bag that he keeps here. “I love you, Y/n.” 

“I love you too, James.” I respond, feeling my heart slowly break as I follow him out and see Steve stood there, checking his phone. “You both look after each other, okay?” I tell them both, more so Steve who is less likely to be reckless. 

“Don’t you worry Y/n, we’ll be back before you know it.” Steve tells me as he walks over to give me a tight hug. “Plus we can’t leave Bucks future Missus alone.” He increases his Brooklyn accent and laughs before heading out of the door, Bucky rolling his eyes before taking one long last look at me before shutting the door.

Waking up alone in my bed is something I’ll never learn to adjust to. Not seeing him asleep with his mouth ajar in the mornings or having him to cuddle up to if I’m cold at night. 

Slowly I get myself back into my own routine. Waking up, showering, barely having time for breakfast before I head to work. Working, chatting away to customers who are planning a big occasion and are after an outfit for it. Coming home, getting dinner and eating by my self. Not having his updates, not having him sat opposite me. 

It was something I had to get into, otherwise, there was no point. 

I couldn’t help but yawn loudly as I walk up the stairs from the Subway, heading back towards my apartment building. Checking my phone I see a message from Steve, a picture of Bucky smiling brightly into the camera. 

A smile forms on my face as I lock my phone, slipping it back into my pocket before someone knocks into me. “Watch it!” I call out and turn, immediately taking it back. “Oh, Ana hi. Sorry, I didn’t,” I stop mid-sentence as she lowers her hood, smiling back at me. 

“It’s alright, Y/n. Accidents happen.” She says before looking behind me and as I turn I’m met with someone sticking something into my arm. 

“Wait, what, no,” Before I can say anything else or protest my eyes begin to close. 

“See you soon, doll.” Ana snides before I lose all consciousness and the worry washes away.

Bucky:

Sitting still in the Quinjet I wait for the signal. 

But as I look up to Steve worry fills his expression. “I know that look,” I speak up and his eyes meet mine. 

“Buck, I’m, I’m so sorry,” The start of a sentence that couldn’t mean anything good. Standing up I walk over towards him, my jaw now clenched as I tell myself she’s fine, nothing is happening to her. I left her in New York where I knew she’d be safe. “they’ve taken Y/n.”

You were in the mood to just curl up in a ball and start weeping till you drowned in your own tears. Your books were thrown to the side as you casted yourself upon your bed, and sank into the cheap bedding. 

 "You look stressed my lady?" A voice echoed through your room, causing you to sit up in your mess of a bed. 

"Sebastian.... It is the 21st century, you really do not have to call me my lady." 

"I know however..." 

"A butler who fails to address his mistress formally is not worth his salt." You smiled as he took a seat next to you. 

 "Where is Ciel? I figured his little ass would be..." 

"Master Ciel was called away, appears he has decided to create a contract with a young maiden on your campus. Maybe he will court her?" 

"I hope, if I have to cradle him for one more night as he cries for my mother, I may scream." 

"Well what about me?" You looked into his scarlet eyes and smiled at his slight pout, "you my dear are far different. You have not binding agreement with me, only my father. However my father sadly happens to be a 200 year old demon with a personal butler who is stunningly handsome." 

"I am still unsure how your young father approved of this? I mean you are the only heir..." 

"To a family who died years ago, I know. However I also know the day my mother died to give me life was the day Ciel made you promise to always love me, and I am sure he was more then happy to discover that his daughter and butler fancied each other." 

"Well if you really fancy me, then why are you not telling me what is wrong?" 

"Because nothing is wrong, I am just stressed. I am in a foul mood today and am not ready for this next week of finals. I promise Sebastian I will be fine, I just need some sleep." 

 "Very well, I shall tend to the chores as such." Sebastian smiled in his creepily charming way as he slowly exited the room, as you flopped back onto the mess and played on your phone as you slowly feel asleep. 

 When you awake you found yourself surrounded by red roses, the bouquets littered the desks, the drawers, the closet, the shelves, sitting next to you sat a small black stuffed cat and on your computer sat a small dish housing a slice of cake. You looked around the room and thanked the heavens you had your own room, so you didn't have to answer any questions. 

"Oh Sebastian." You whispered as you took the cat into your embrace, upon studying it more you discovered the family ring tied around the collar, a note attached reading, "I am one hell of a lover too, you will be fine my dear. You always are." 

As though he heard the whispering of his name he slowly opened your door, and met your glowing face, "Do you like them, your father always requested red roses at all his events, I was unsure though if you would like tulips like your mother did. He always would order me to deliver them when she too was stressed." 

 "You are too much sometimes." You whispered as he sat in the chair beside your bed. 

"There is that smile I adore." He took your hand as you laid in your bed, the cat still wrapped in your embrace. 

"Sounds odd, coming from a demon and all. But you were right about one thing." 

"And what might that be?" 

"You are one hell of a lover."

“May I come in?” The familiar voice called from behind the closed door.

“Green tea with a splash of fresh honey and a lemon wedge.” You finished his sentence and missed him grin to himself.


“I also took the liberty of snatching you a fresh cookie as well today, my dear."You finally looked up to see him holding the small round treat, a smile pulled at your lips as your fingers lightly brushed his hand.


"Sebastian how many times must I tell you, call me [Y/N].”


“Well my dear, clearly you must ask once more, along with the young master.”


“Oh please I am far older then him, it is bad enough that I must love you in secret because…”

“I am going to give these back now, just leave the tea here.”

 “Sebastian!” Ciel called from the parlor where he sat, his eyes transfixed on a chess piece as he played against you.


“Yes young master?” He hurried to his side as you moved your piece.


“When this game is done I require a bath.”


“Really my lord, don’t you think…”


“Don’t be silly Sebas-chan, it is never too late for a bath.” You mock Grell as you smiled, “I am tired anyway so I believe I will retreat for the night. Good night sweet brother.” 

You gently placed a kiss on his head before walking towards your room, your hand quickly grabbing Sebastian’s as he watched you go. 

"I will draw the bath my lord." He said, turning back his attention back to Ciel, who was watching him as he gandered after you. Ciel just took a breathe as he watched Sebastian leave, knowing that he could not live under this situation any longer. 

 "I will return with your files soon my lord." 

"Sebastian... Tell me your thoughts on Miss Phantomhive?" Ciel asked as Sebastian started to turn. 

"Miss Phantomhive is quite an interesting character, for she is far superior to any other female in her position and should have been born with a..." 

"Do you think I am blind to your interactions Sebastian?" Ciel closed his eyes as he leaned against the back of the tub. 

"My lord, I have never thought such a thing." 

"I am not a fool, I am aware to the feelings you both share. However I am aware of her position in England and to the queen..." 

"I understand my lord." Sebastian dropped his head slightly. 

"I also know that you are aware of how important she is to me, and I trust no man more to protect her." His head raised slowly as he took in his master. 

"Do not toy with her heart, and don't let any harm come to her, lest you desire to be dragged into my hell." 

"Yes... My lord." He answered as Ciel lifted his hand and made a waving motion. 

"Now go to her, I am sure I can bathe myself." These words caused him to turn on his heels and walk calmly to the room of the eldest Phantomhive, his hand raised to knock, however before he could you called, "come in." 

"Sebastian, I thought you were to be bathing Ciel now?" You asked as he walked in, and started towards your bed. He sat on your sheets and placed his gloved hand upon your own. 

"The young master is aware of our romantic relationship." Sebastian started, causing your eyes to widen. 

"He simply can not fire you, you both are in a binding contract and..." 

"He has given me the proper permission to court you. He has made it very clear as well that if I break your heart I am to be doomed."

"Oh." You said, looking at the floor, your head facing away from him 

"Are you not happy my dear?" He asked, taking his free hand and turning your head towards him. 

"I am, I just fear when this is over, when you may return to..." 

"I will still love you, and stand by your side. Even after the deed is accomplished." 

"Well.. Then how will Grell feel?" 

"He will understand."He whispered as he leaned forward and kissed you, making it so that you never wanted to kiss another soul.
