Trying to find the lineage of Miss Belinda Chandra. And no, she can't be related to Rani Chandra (unless they're cousins) because both actresses (and their characters) were born in the early 1990s.
So, we have a character with the name of Poppy Munday who, in the seventies, was the personal assistant to Vince Cosmos, a glam rocker by profession and a detective in secret.
We meet Belinda Chandra in 2025 who, after an adventure on another planet, is unable to return home to May 24, 2025.
In 5087, the Doctor met Mundy Flynn, who he claims is an absolute genetic match to Belinda Chandra.
In the far future of 21506, the Doctor meets Jocelyn Sancerre, who's an accountant on a baby farming station who chose to stay to watch over the space babies when the project was terminated.
don’t worry just be a TARDIS and watch WHO
I'm sick of the companions saving the doctor.
I'm mean, it's a good story line, but it happens everytime. I don't mean like saving him physically, they can do that all they want. I mean like making him a better person, Donna wanting him to just "Save them" in Pompeii, Amy stopping him from just shooting that old guy in the old west, don't even get me started on Rose "Lets-look-at-the-heart-of-the-tardis-to-save-everyone" Tyler.
Why can't there be a character who is a little shit, who's a coward, who wants to see the world and see the times but is afraid and maybe has trust issues and tell the doctor to just run instead of trying to help someone out because they didn't sign up for this, they were meant to be in Las Vegas or chilling with Presley. Most of the companions want to save people, but most humans aren't like that, there's studies, when it comes down to it, most of us will try to save outselves first, then go see if we can help. But the Doctor could change that. The doctor could make himself a better person by making the companion one too.
"Doctor, let's go, they're not worth saving!" They'll say. "What? No- no, you've got to see, you've got to see how perfectly imperfect they are!" He'll reply. And the companions do realise, their character arch is looking at the children and the women and the men and the aliens they saved and realising what a wonderful world it is. And the Doctor will remember too, because instead of being told how great it is to save people, he was the one teaching the lesson so many companions had to teach him before.
I can do this. Only 2 days 1 hour till the season finale of doctor who. Good thing there is no school work on the next day
I am really pleased with this poster, it looks almost professional (even if I do say so myself)
It is inspired by a post I saw once, but can't find anymore, where someone suggested the BBC start a new television channel where they show Doctor Who, 1-11 right from the beginning to the latest episode, and then start again.
I also think it should show the various spin offs from Doctor Who (Torchwood, K9, Sarah Jane etc.)
I would really like it if the person who had the idea comes across this.
