Could not take a good photo of this one no matter what I did so I had to use liquify on Ibis to make it into a nice rectangle ahahahah, also turned up the contrast

Day "7" - Death, flames, sickness / Life, failure, victory

So... that's it from me! I would've liked to do the two prompts I missed this week but currently, im posting this two days late already aha!

This was so much fun and its been such a blast participating and also seeing everyone's wonderful art and fics this week! ❤️❤️ Loved drawing my special little guy. He deserves so much love

I made this one in about 20 mins right before bed because the idea just came to me. The oil pastels just started calling out to me --- theyre such an underrated medium --- and I used a bit of filter magic to make the colours pop :) I would add the unedited version but the difference would make you shake your head irl. (I messed with contrast and brightness here cause wow i am no photographer. My photo taking skills are uh. Questionable.)

I mainly made this one with sickness in mind. Flame came naturally with sickness --- i was gonna make Beyond's frame a lot more wiry, very sickly, (and that slotted in with flames in my mind) but I fattened his left leg up too much haha! --- and death comes with flame as we all know.

The singular wing honestly only exists because in the scribble phase (no pencil sketch btw!) I accidentally made a shape in that corner that looked suspiciously like a dick and I was not having it. But since it's there, I think the wing is a reference to his shinigami connections :]

I put two versions of this piece here because although I personally am heavily inclined towards brightness and eyebleed, I know someone out there's gonna like the darker version better lmao. So here ya go!

Once again. This has been a blast. See you all hopefully next year! (And off i go into my slumber.... this is probably my last death note post for a while. Its been fun.) (10/10 experience.)

Day "2" - Jam, chocolate, sweetness, puppy love

Saw the prompt and it reminded me of a thing that happened 2 years ago when Polo (creator of Death Note Roblox) launched a little riddle solving challenge event on his Discord server and all the other riddles were solved really fast and easily by the community but the last riddle, "Bianca often liked to go to her favourite restaurant at 6:30 PM to eat her favourite - a lamb," just COULD NOT be solved. Me and like the 200(?) other people doing this stuff COULD NOT GET IT and it's funny because my first thought upon seeing the riddle was "Beyond Birthday." I tried every variation of BB I could and entered Jam a bunch of times and was honestly shocked that it never worked.

Then... a couple days later... someone got the riddle, and it was discovered the answer was STRAWBERRY. JAM. TWO WORDS.

AAAAAAAAAAA

So anyways, the whole thing is sorta an inside joke now with the community. The name "Bianca" has been featured in some minor parts of the game and its just funny. I've always wanted to make something about it and seeing the prompt "jam" gave me the opportunity!!

So, though "jam" here obviously means strawberry jam... it could also mean jam as in "golly gee im in a jam..." XD

Day "1" - Beginnings

Yk, it's strange that for my favourite character in the world... this is the first time I've posted one of my Beyond drawings on Tumblr before! Oh, thank you @bb-appreciation-week for making this so I could have an excuse to draw him.

ITS SO FUNNY because this whole month I've been thinking "huh. august 22nd is this month. this day is significant to me but I can't remember why...." AND THIS MADE ME REMEMBER. IT WAS LIKE ALL THE DOMINOS FELL INTO PLACE. OANWOQNSJELAN

I would've known IMMEDIATELY but these past months I've actually been relatively Death Note free. The obsession has escaped me for a little while but NOTHING will stop me from participating in this.

ANYWAYS onto the artwork itself. Did this in marker with no sketch (im bringing this up because god id never post this if it wasnt no sketch...) and im pretty happy with it. There's one particular major mistake burning itself into my brain but hey no one will notice right.

I've got a photograph and a line-extracted version of this too because everyone loves a digital copy! Also, I forgot to include the word "appreciation" into the "Beyond Birthday week" and im too lazy to add it now lmao
