So I won Runner Up to Best In Show at Boston Comic Con last night! I monologued onstage and it was a pretty amazing experience. :D

Charlie Cox at Boston Comic Con 2017

    We were lucky enough to attend Charlie Cox’s Q&A panel at Boston Comic Con this past weekend. Here are a few highlights: 

    -There’s a moment in Season 1 episode 4 where Claire throws him his shirt and he catches it over his shoulder-- which was his idea. It look a long time to film this, because he kept on missing. They eventually had to have someone off screen give him a countdown when Rosario threw the shirt. This was especially awkward, since it was one of his first times working with Rosario. 

    -He took home a prop baton to practice twirling the billy club for the last episode of Season 2, and he never gave it back. 

    -Season 2 episodes 7 and 8 are his favorite Daredevil episodes. He says this is because he enjoyed playing a man burning the candle at both ends and spiraling out of control. He also feels that while the season one costume was very comfortable, season two’s was “cooler”. 

    -He’s rooting for Matt and Karen to reconcile and rekindle their relationship, but those types of nuanced, DD-specific character interactions won’t happen until Season 3

    -He can no longer speculate aloud about interactions with other MCU superheroes or characters who might be added from the comics, because the Internet will overreact and treat it as real news (dang it, Internet!) and/or he might accidentally spoil something.

    -In The Defenders, he’s most excited about Matt’s dynamic with Jessica. They start off with an antagonistic relationship, but their mutual snark eventually becomes affectionate snark.

Guess where I was today?? Baltimore Comic Con!! I’m sorry I missed it last year, but this year definitely made up for it. Saw some old friends and met some new people. Plus, I Futaba squatted in various places.
