Did you know that BC Cider Week is coming up May 20-30? Do you have your ciders ready? In case you are not too familiar with BC ciders, I have 4 from Sea Cider Farm and Ciderhouse on Vancouver Island. They provided with their: Bittersweet - one of the certified organic estate ciders that are part of their Heirloom Series. Bittersweet apples are the backbone of traditional English cider and are some of the rarest apples in Canada. Perry - a very limited cider, only released every few years made with Perry pears Kings & Spies - a blend of King apples, Northern Spies, and other apples of mysterious heritage (a favourite cider that I have been able to try before) Rumrunner - from their Barrel Series, full-bodied. I am excited to try these ciders since my trip to England and Scotland two years ago when I had several very nice ciders. I think these should pair well with our seafood, in particular the spot prawns that are upcoming! Can you guess which variety of apples is in my pictures? Hint, they are not cider apples. @SeaCiderhouse #apples #pears #cider #bccider #vancouverIsland #winewriter #somm #winemedia https://www.instagram.com/p/CO32tW1Mww_/?igshid=7z6w267hbb0v
