[BDRPVDTE] - A Lover’s Quest || Tipper

Not long after talking about having a big adventure in the near future, one managed to materialize.

While visiting the Pixie Hollow Archives for the weekend, Terence helped out his father find some information on a particular, centuries-unused method for pixie dust distribution, originally developed by the fairies of the Hollow of Eryri.

While the infamous legend of the extinct party fairy community of Eryri was common knowledge within the working community of Pixie Hollow, it was more often seen as a fairy fairy tale more than anything.

But Terence’s father had found a lead in an old family document that led him to believe that he could find more information on this lost civilization’s methods, and thus, put himself to work.

Needless to say, the sparrow men’s search was mostly a failure, but Terence found something anyway: There were tales of a mysterious, valuable magic vault kept deep within the fairies’ lands, in what was now known as Snowdonia.

And since Snowdonia was a four hour drive, give or take, from Swynlake, he thought it’d be worth it to check it out.

And so there he was! It was Valentine’s Day, but this time there would be no restaurant date or anything normal like that. No, this time, he’d be taking Dipper on an adventure! To ancient fairy ruins!

It was early in the morning when Terence pulled up close to Dipper’s dorm building. He’d borrowed Zarina’s old Mini Cooper and loaded it with enough supplies to last them the road, a picnic, and stuff like blankets and pillows. Just in case.

The blond leaned against the car and texted his boyfriend he was already there, and smiled at the thought of the road ahead.

Cars, buildings, and street lights began to fade away through the foggy glass pane of the window bringing forth vast lands of lively green and luscious trees. They were getting further and further away from the busyness of King’s Cross station and closer and closer to their destination.

Hogwarts. It will be their first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Georgette knew all about it. She came from a long line of purebloods that all had attended school. A long line of Slytherins. Her parents were expecting no less. Georgette was never one to care for the thoughts and expectations of her parents. It was a constant fight between them, but she was going to Hogwarts now, she was getting further and further away from her parents.

She peeled her eyes away from the window to the seat in front of her and smiled. Hercules was occupying that seat. Hercules has been her best-friend since Georgette herself was little.

Since that cloudy afternoon, she had run off from her home crying and cradling a broken stuffed teddy in her arms. It had been her favorite one, she had been so attached to it. Her mother broke it and yelled at her to grow up, that it was time she stopped playing with toys. She was young then, so young. Hercules found her crying that day and showed her kindness, more kindness than her parents ever had. 

Now they were both going to Hogwarts. 

Georgette got up from her seat and placed herself next to Hercules as she looked at him. “Are you nervous?”

Dash rolled the windows down and turned the music up in his car and he sang off-key to That Number One Pop Song. Looking over to the passenger seat, he grinned at Mei, and his heart swelled. Her hair swirled around her face in the most elegant of ways and her skin glowed in the sun (even if she wasn’t feeling so well on such a long car ride).

Oh how he loved his girlfriend!

He reminisced back to when they first met, on a blind date. He had been nervous to go into the dating scene knowing his Super Hero lifestyle would impact any kind of relationship he would have, but all that anxiety seemed to disappear with Mei. Sure, she had gotten sick when he had tried to hold her hand across the table, but he didn’t care. It felt like the strings of fate had brought them together, and no amount of vomit could change that!

So now, for their one year anniversary, they were taking a cross-country road trip to see Nature, and for him to get away from his hectic Super Hero life and spend some quality time with his sweet, caring, and lovely Mei.

Vee was pleased. The ship of dreams was turning out to be everything it had promised and more. Between herself and her partner, they’d been scouting the decks for hours and had seen enough sparkly valuables on board to finance a small country. 

It was enough to turn any jewel thief’s head, especially a vampire jewel thief with a jewel hoard any dragon would be jealous of.

Shimmering jewels and shiny precious metals were like a siren call to Vee—she was a much like a dragon, actually, with her love of treasure, always looking out for the next big thing. Unlike a dragon, however, she did not mind sharing the spoils with her partner in crime. 

Tae had been loyal and true for years and always had her back. Not only that, but as the muscle, he was a perfect complement to her sweet, innocent, doe eyed act. They were a great team—the most successful jewel thieves in London, now headed for the Americas after a betrayal and a near miss with Scotland Yard had cost them nearly everything they’d worked for.

She was confident that the Titanic was going to give them what they needed to start over. But first, they had to locate the prize and plan the heist of their lives. 

Vee adjusted the scarf around her neck and smoothed her travel jacket along her waist as she climbed the aft staircase. Glancing over her shoulder, she tossed a sly smile at her partner who was just behind her as she asked, “And you’re sure this staircase will get us past the guards and onto the first class deck, right?”

It does not seem right to start the story out any other way than this: Eric Andersen did not want to go to Swynlake. 

But what Eric Andersen wanted did not matter. It didn’t matter that there was a boat with a spot waiting for him in the docks of Newhaven, it didn’t matter that he was old enough to say no, and it did not matter that he did not want to go because he had to. Given to him in the form of a request, filled to the brim with the connotations that this is what his father would have wanted for him, Eric was being sent on a solo Hunt. 

He was enrolled into the local University, moved into the dorms, and-

(”Hold it!” 

The man sitting in the chair beside the bed closed his mouth, looking to younger of the two children laying among the mountain of blankets and pillows. A gathering place of two kingdoms whose subjects were stuffed animals and where imagination was more powerful than the threat of war. 

“I thought you promised this story wasn’t going to be boring.” 

The man sighed. Everyone’s a critic, even your own children. Maybe especially so. “Just be patient.”

“I’ll be asleep by the time we get to the good stuff!” 

“Maybe if someone stopped interrupting and let me continue, we could get there.”

The other child shushed their older sibling, heeding the warning. They both settled back down among the covers if only for the promise of a belated bed time.)

-started into his routine. The bad part about having and keeping a realistic cover was that it was, in fact, real. Including the course work. 

He had gone in search of somewhere that was not cluttered with a roommate, as strict about food as the library, and still had wifi. The local coffee shop, or tea shoppe, checked all of these boxes. He ventured inside early on a Saturday morning, before it even had time to get crowded, and stood at the counter, waiting to give his order.

“What a bore.” Tigg sighed as she stood off to the side, observing the party. Another event celebrating some duke - or was this a count’s manor? She might have skipped it for how little she cared but it was a relatively quiet year in London and she came to work a little demonic mischief into the evening.

Nothing drastic good Lucifer no, tonight wasn’t the night to alter the course of human history, or help along the spread of a plague, or burn down half of London - again. Too much paperwork. She was still reeling from the wrist cramps from the American Revolution.

At catching a drunk man circling what appeared to be a rival in love talking to a lady, Tigg smiled to reveal subtly too sharp teeth and with a flick of her wrist she sent the man stumbling into the more sober one. Ah, and they began to argue in a rather undignified manner for such a fancy estate’s walls to host, and it wasn’t nearly enough for her but it would have to do as an appetizer.

Heaving a dramatic sigh Tigg adjusted her cravat as she scanned the ballroom for something else to stick her demonic little fingers into.

Finn had forgotten what it was like not to constantly be missing Ashlee. Every time they got to get together, he would wonder and worry about the next time they could see each other. It was an overwhelming feeling. He had to see her again.

It took him a while to get up the nerve to text her again. They were trying not to text too much. But Finn couldn’t help it. He really really missed her. Before he knew it, he had managed to arrange a meet up, heart racing as he scrambled to get ready. He put on nice pants and his nicest floral button up, putting on a coat over it. The weather had been strange lately, so he wanted to be prepared.

Finn found his way to their usual cafe, eyes lighting up as he spotted Ashlee in their usual corner. God she was beautiful. Finn rushed over to her, smile lighting up his face. “Ash-Ashlee. I’m s-s-s-so happy to s-see you again.”
