Feeling sad because Iniga deleted The Bureaucratic Error from their fanfiction.net profile. They have a short note on their profile with their reasoning.

I can’t imagine what it’s like to pour your heart into a 400k word story and then be hounded by “constructive” criticism. Maybe this is a bigger problem on ffn than ao3 because that platform has a wider audience, including some people who believe posting a fanwork online is as an invitation for critique. This is a reminder for us all: unless an author asks for your criticism, you don’t need to offer any. Make your comments and reviews supportive and kind, and talk about all the things you loved instead of the things you didn’t. 

I hope Iniga can still be proud of their work. It was stunning, and one of my favorite takes on Remus and Sirius’s friendship and the effects of time travel.

Something I didn't know I needed to stress but let me just say it here:

Don't be disrespectful to people whose language you're learning.

Don't treat those native speakers like toys and commodities. They're people. Yes they can help you practice but they're not obligated to.

Don't think that just because you're learning their language that you have to seek them out and basically stalk them. Stop and think and treat them like they're human.

This isn't pointed at anyone on here, it's just a problem I see in my personal life but I figured I should put this out on here too
