Art for art sakes is better explored among others or is it best hidden and later intrrpretttrred wrongly by the looker inside
there is no best path. be suspicious of superlatives. avoid absolutes.
y’know pessimism is almost healthy in this day and age because getting your hopes up about anything seems naive but truthfully, humans are sometimes wonderful and kind and we all have so much in common and shared passions can be a sublime thing to experience. I’m mostly just thinking of that video of people just having left a Robyn concert and they’re waiting on the subway platform and they all start singing “Dancing on My Own” and there’s a ton of people there. It’s magical. I hate knowing that humans are so capable of cultivating community at the drop of a hat and that we all have so much potential for love and happiness and yet we’ve let greed and capitalism corrupt us to the point where we have to see everyone as an enemy. And this isn’t to say “we should reach across political lines, ignoring our well-earned judgments and wariness regarding our oppressors,” or to ignore that marginalized people are still great at forming our own communities. I just think that there’s such a great potential there for global community and we should mourn its loss, struggle to create that love and sense of community and build it up wherever we see it bloom. I just see these moments where humanity is so wonderful and it makes me hope, moreso than I usually do, that we haven’t lost it forever.

Running away...
It's not the answer.
Look behind you and take the time to understand from what you're running away.
