It's been a phenomenal day!!! All the love and friendship that I'm sharing with all the people who mean so much to me here in the Tumblrverse has made my day wonderful!! I've been smiling for hours!! My face is starting to hurt from all this smiling!!😁🤣🤣😁 Thank you to you all for being such loving, beautiful friends to me and thank you to all the other people who have yet to become my friends, but have shared so much joy and beauty from their lives with me through their posts!! I appreciate each and every one of you very much!! Yesterday, I posted that we should all take some time today to make the last day of this year a great one, and I've seen so much love and kindness and caring here today that I feel many of you have done that, and by doing so, you have made today a spectacular day!!! In addition to sharing joy and love here in the Tumblrverse, I did my best to share joy and kindness in the real world, too. I went to the grocery store earlier and I helped an older woman carry and load her groceries into her car. I saw another older woman sitting outside on her walker by herself. I figured she was waiting for someone so I decided to pass some of the time she had with her. She seemed to like the idea so that's what i did!! I said hello and asked her how her day was. I wished her a happy new year and we had a lovely conversation for a few minutes. When I left her, she had a big smile on her face!! So did I!! I, also, smiled and said, Happy New Year, to everyone I saw and they all smiled and said the same thing back to me, which made me smile even more. I brought a platter of butter cookies dipped in chocolate to the store for the employees to enjoy on their breaks!! And then, I made yet another Christmas cookie tree for the beautiful one year old who lives next door because she loves them and they make her happy. I, also, left a bag of cookies in my mailbox for the postman. I had made a lot of cookie dough so cookies seemed like the way to go! When I got done doing all this, I was very, very happy. I had done some simple things that made others happy and in doing so, I made myself very happy, too!! Doing little things like this is like the greatest chain reaction that multiplies joy exponentially!! In the end you've made others happier and yourself happy, too!! I love to try to do something like this every day that I can. Just smiling and saying hello can make a positive impact on the people you see. A thing as common and simple as a trip to the store can become a life affirming experience!! I believe that all these kinds of positive things add up and they can make a beautiful difference in the world around you!! It doesn't take a lot to do this and it provides the much needed joy and relief from the stress and loneliness that we all need. Think of how lovely it would be if we all tried to do this wherever we went. I love changing the things around me into a happier, healthier environment one random act of kindness at a time!!! Sometimes, all it takes is good manners. I hope you all had a day like mine. I go a bit overboard because I love to bake and share what I make with others, but that's just me. All you have to do is be nice and kind to others and smile and say something to another person to let them know that they're not alone and someone cares. It's really just that easy... happy last day of the year and Happy New Year to everyone!! A new year means a new start so let's make it a great start and begin changing the world one random act of kindness at a time!!! That's my plan... it always is 😁😁😍😍🫂🫂
