Hi, everyone.

I haven’t talked much about it on my blog because I don’t mention personal things a lot, but I wanted to post this.

Long story short, my mom was diagnosed with a kind of blood/bone marrow cancer last year and this week I’m donating bone marrow and stems cells for her so that she has a chance at being cured and living out the rest of her life with our family. We were fortunate that I was a match so we didn’t have to hunt for a donor, but it could have just as easily been much harder.

If you are able and willing, please sign up to be a bone marrow donor on bethematch.com. For people like my mom, it’s their only chance of a cure. It’s quick, easy, and the recipient’s insurance always covers the expenses. You can make a difference.
