This week for our #tbt post, I clipped out this glimpse from our early fiber promo photos - one of our very first braids of our Beachrise colorway 🌅

New handspun "Half the World" is available on our website now 🐚 A single skein of handspun yarn, made from our Beachrise colorway on Merino wool. Fractal 2ply yarn construction at fingering weight (Craft Yarn Council 1 - Super Fine), 405 yards/120 grams. The colors run through sequence at different rates, phasing in and out of sync through pale blue, pink, and gold. This skein came out incredibly soft and light!

"On the Horizon" now available in our shop 🌅 A single skein of handspun yarn, made from our Beachrise colorway on Falkland wool. Chain-plied 3ply yarn construction at fingering weight (Craft Yarn Council 1 - Super Fine), 315 yards/106 grams. The colors form a gradient of pastel solids, shifting through sunrise tones in long color runs. This skein came out very crisp and smooth, with subtle textural elements where the chains of the plies interlink.

Don't forget, we do still have two skeins of our last batch of handspun yarn in the shop, with four new ones coming by the end of the month! 🧶 This is "Rustic Autumn Comfort," a spiral-plied art yarn in our Pumpkin Cream colorway on our Finn base, and we also have a beautiful fractal Beachrise skein on Merino named "Half the World," visible a ways back on our feed or on our website!

For this #WIPWednesday, here's a bobbin shot of the plying process for my most recent handspun skein on our Beachrise colorway 🏖️ This fractal spin was done on our Merino fiber base, and is still available in our shop!

Is "Fractal Friday" anything? This new skein of Beachrise yarn for the shop will be a fractal yarn, which means that the bobbin on the right has color repeats that are half the length of the color sequences of the bobbin on the right. 🎨 In the final yarn, this means the colors will slowly phase in and out of alignment - a super cool effect that can only be made with handspun!

Our third fiber colorway is here! Buy your own on our website in five different fiber bases 🌅 Soft, warm, and brilliant shades of peach and gold break over a gentle blue ocean. This colorway, inspired by some of Em's photography this summer from our childhood favorite beach, makes me think of fresh air, gentle breezes, and the soft sand beneath my feet.
