My new Character for this Dungeon Meshi inspired DaggerHeart campaign im in !! This guy is basically a BBQ Paladin and i think thats great
Friends daggerheart character for his birthday ( :
I'd like to imagine that someday, Travis Willingham could host as the Game Master for a Daggerheart one-shot based on the Beast Feast campaign frame.
Hear me out.
In The World Ends With You video game, he voiced the role for Yodai Higashizawa, who was the acting Game Master for the first week in the Reaper's Game.
And the character's main quirk is that everything he says is food related.
His voiced lines include gems like:
"Now we're boiling!"
"Time for a taste test."
"I'll mince you!"
"We've preheated LONG ENOUGH!"
This next line wasn't voiced, but I gotta include it. Lol
I think it would be a great little full circle moment to this admittedly minor role for Travis to GM a Beast Feast bit just for this silly reason.
🍴 the prompt list is here!
you have two weeks to come up with some bestiality ideas, and we can’t wait to see what they are!
My Thoughts on Daggerheart Campaign Frames*
Witherwild
I like the concept but it doesn’t call to me all that strongly.
The ethical reasonings and philosophical thoughts I had while reading this were really interesting and it would be cool to see how a campaign would deal with those.
I think it would be very fun for me to play but I wouldn’t love to GM it.
Five Banners Burning
A fanatic concept. I really like the political themes because you can do some much both in and out of the direct political conflicts and it’s something that makes a world feel very real.
I think being a player in this would be very fun and deeply intriguing and I would also love to see people play it and talk about it etc.
I would like to GM, but I would be hesitant because I struggle with these massive, detailed, campaigns.
Beast Feast
My favorite, holy shit. I love Dungeon Meshi!
I think it’s just a great possibility of altering gameplay, even if you only use the mechanics of cooking and not the storyline/world they set up for you.
I would be so so down to both GM and play.
Age of Umbra
I would not GM this but would fine with playing it, though I wouldn’t be overly enthusiastic about it.
I like the campaign frame, however it’s not my personal cup of tea due to the dark and brooding nature—but! I love the campaign mechanics of lurking darkness and the change to how the scars work.
What I want most for this campaign is for Critical Role to do another ministries of it.
Motherboard
I was initially not interested in the slightest, but the concept is really cool and I would not be opposed to playing, despite it not being my personal vibe.
The world building is very well done and sets up so a fascinating campaign. The campaign frame may seem rather complex at first but it is explained very well and I wouldn’t worry too much unless you want to learn kohd.
I wouldn’t GM it and it wouldn’t be my first choice as a player but I hope those that are interested in tech based games find this because it gives you a lot to play with.
Colossus of the Drylands
I love the aesthetic and the fairly straight forward goal of the campaign and would be stoked to play this at some point.
I would not want to GM this one at all and making a colossus would probably make me cry.
I really enjoy the lore behind this one—is it what I would do if I had made this campaign? No, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s very interesting and adds a lot of depth to something that could easily be described as a cowboy-gold rush fusion campaign.
*these are my opinions on if I’d liked to play them, not if they are objectively good.
Literally the best thing we've cooked for Daggerheart/D&D in ages. Pork dumpling and noodle soup. I'm so warm and so happy and so blessedly full 🤤
