Beast and Beast-Man is a fight I wanted to see ever since I was a kid. It still hasn’t happened, but maybe one day we’ll see an X-Men and Masters of the Universe crossover.
In the meantime, we can break down this battle here. When it comes to strength, who has the advantage? It’s actually probably somewhat even. I always thought Beast was strong, but he kind of gets overlooked because he doesn’t have the strength to compete with Rogue, Gladiator, and others in the X-Men comics.
Still, he’s considerably stronger than even a peak human. He can uproot trees, pick up a car, and bust through doors and other structures. Will that help him here? Maybe.
Even though Beast-Man is really presented as just a lackey for Skeletor, he is strong, too. He’s not He-Man strong, but Prince Adam, Man-At-Arms, King Randor, and others couldn’t overpower him. Beast-Man wasn’t lifting vehicles, but there aren’t vehicles on Eternia to lift.
Agility? Well, that one is easy. Beast wins. Beast-Man has more of a clumsy-looking walk and run. So, advantage Beast.
How about intelligence? Well, you see where this is going. Beast-Man has had a few moments that exceeded anyone’s expectations. He’s not as stupid as Skeletor makes him out to be. However, he’s certainly not at Beast’s level when it comes to smarts and strategy.
The one thing that Beast-Man has is the power to control animals and other beasts. That’s how he got his name. Could he use that power on Beast? It’s possible. I don’t think so, though. Beast is human / mutant. He’s not an animal like a dragon or shadow beast, like Beast-Man typically controls.
So, as much as they are kind of an even match, and share a name, the outcome is pretty clear.
