Just another concept sketch- this time exploring ways in which the Beastclaw Riders miniatures range could be expanded whilst still maintaining their frosty theme (it felt more festive given the time of year). As there seems to be a general dissatisfaction with the current Icefall Yhetee models, I thought it would be interesting to use these dated miniatures as a basis for creating a new unit concept. From this, I've come up with a hero design that could act in synergy with Icefall Yhetees. There is even some lore to go with this frigid fellow: Iceblood Greypelt Though the Frostlords of the Beastclaw Riders are held in high esteem by the wandering tribes that are forever chased by the Everwinter's chilling grasp, their connection with that anomaly's unnatural cold can warp the minds and bodies of these respected elders in strange and unpredictable ways. Some Frostlords, touched as they are by the Everwinter's icy influence, break off from the main Beastclaw camps, their wanderings driven by a deep yearning to seek out lands were the vicious cold bites deepest. Bestial and savage, these ancient Ogors sport thick pelts of long fur and often come to lead packs of Icefall Yhetees across the frozen wastes, the long-limbed beasts commanded by loud blasts from horns fashioned from those of great creatures found entombed within the glacial ice. As the Beastclaw Raiders continue their endless migrations across the Mortal Realms, they are often accompanied by the loping forms of the Iceblood Greypelts and their strange, simian chargers.
