actually tbh if anyone in warhammer gets that horrible toxic mindset into making their lover into a doll it’s fulgrim when he’s falling into a state of disarray after slaanesh gets their grubby little fingers in his brain.

arguably i think pre fall fulgrim is an excellent and devoted lover who tries his best for his partner, sometimes to his own detriment, and has some rules they should follow (boundaries, more or less) but that all gets pitched out the window when he starts getting locked into that cycle of perfection.

the cycle is the detriment, because it feels like he’s just resetting who they are every day, and turning them into a very cherished, and well loved doll, but not a person particularly. and it’s so horrible, because some of the individuality of humans is expressed and cherished by people who appreciate art, like he does.

but humans are also messy, and fucked up, and aren’t as they should be all the time, so it’s a real struggle for fulgrim… but then he realizes, i can have control by changing them, i can finally feel like i know what i’m doing if i take control over them, they are something easy and simple, as a human, that i can fix and make perfect.
