does anybody else even care about Charles Beckendorf like I do

does anyone else think about how Percy really looked up to him, that it’s implied that Percy was pinning his hopes for demigods having normal-ish lives outside of CHB on beckendorf and silena. Does anybody else think about that line “he was supposed to go to college in the fall” constantly.

Does anyone else think that if they hadn’t died, beckendorf and silena would’ve been in the 7 rather than piper and Leo. How they just don’t really address that outside of TLH, but they really should.

Does anyone else think about the crazy survivals guilt Percy has whenever he thinks about beckendorfs death? How it must eat him up inside because beckendorf was the first and kind of the only friend of Percy’s who sacrificed their life for him? You think about Bianca, she did it for Nico. Zoe did it for Artemis. Michael died for his pride. Silena died for Clarisse. But beckendorf? He knew exactly what he was doing. They were on a boat in the middle of the ocean, beckendorf knew Percy would survive. He also knew that he wouldn’t. The silent conversation that he and Percy have plays in my head on repeat sometimes. That he tells Percy to jump, knowing full well that he can’t.

DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK ABOUT THE FACT THE BECKENDORF WAS THE O N L Y ONE TO BE NICE TO TYSON IN THE SOM??? That he takes Tyson under his wing?? When even Percy is embarrassed??

This rant being brought to you by my utter disappointment that beckendorf has STILL yet to be NAMED in the pjo series 😭 please, my BOYYYYYY he needs to be hereeeeeeeee. I understand season 2 is loads better than season 1, but where is my boyyyyyy

big fan! i believe percy has a crush on beckendorf in canon. beckendorf is exactly the cool, calm, compassionate older guy percy originally admired in luke, but this time it's for real.

one of my fav niche pjo moments is when they're playing capture the flag against the hunters and percy is like "yo can u hold down the fort while i go steal their flag" and beckendorf is like "lol obviously" right before getting his ass kicked. iconic.

anyway love their friendship, love that beckendorf was the first person at camp to treat tyson like his own person, could definitely see them getting together in an au or percy having an unrequited crush in all universes.
