As a bovine hybrid, if Beef spends too much time in a flower forest, he can get a bit … Moobloom-y. He used to always find it embarrassing, but when the Hermits found out, they promptly starting cooing over it. They think their flowery Beef is so pretty!! And it’s hard to be upset when you’re in the center of attention - even if that’s embarrassing in its own way
The biggest downside is being flowery = pollen. And pollen means he can't hang out with Keralis! A horrible sacrifice, not at all worth it. But Keralis will wave him off with tissues in his hand. Pretty pretty Beef is perfect, Keralis assures him. They can fawn over him a little longer!

Keralis is a mafia boss with the city under his thumb. He could have anything- or anyone- he wants, but for some reason he can’t work up the nerve to confess his feelings to his best enforcer, Beef.

Beef has never really liked Keralis. In fact, he kinda hates him. But when Keralis gets sick, he calls his neighbor for help because he doesn’t have anyone else to care for him. And for some reason, Beef does help, coming over to Keralis’s sprawling yet sterile mansion to make sure he doesn’t get dehydrated. And maybe, when Keralis mutters “I love you” after Beef brings him soup, Beef feels something very different from disdain for the man.
