Todays beers
Day 2 Advent: Today was a marathon culminating in unplugging mom’s life support. But before we got to that, there was the rush to the hospital, the explanation from doctors, the witnessing of other’s grief, and the constant question “Are you alright?” That last bit is exasperating. Can you be alright when a close family member is suffering and likely to die? Except, otherwise I’m fine. So unless I’ve collapsed and you’re checking if I’m conscious, STOP with the “Are you alright?” There will be many more of those along with How are you holding up? to look forward to as the ceremony of death plays out. I can truthfully say, I’ve never asked these questions.
One truly remarkable thing about the last nine days has been the exceptional professionalism and genuinely caring attitude exhibited by the group of medical folks who attempted to save mom’s life. Such compassion makes me think humanity could be worth saving.
This slightly hazy wheat beer has an interesting flavor. Not banana or orange citrus flavor I normally associate with German weisse bier. More lemony with a metal can finish I associate with cheap American Lagers. Actually, I could drink a few of these and I would be alright.
Blauweisse Hallertauer Craftbier; Hohenthanner Schlossbrauerei, Hohenthan Germany.
Todays beers
Hazy Little Thing - one of my favourites 5/5
House Party - Good but nothing amazing about it I’d say a 3.5/5. I’d drink it again
(I also tasted 2 other beers tonight because I’m going to London tomorrow until Sunday so beer tasting will have to take a pause - review coming tomorrow)
(I also just realised I forgot to take a picture of the two extra ones so will have to get a pic of the empty cans tomorrow lol)
Todays beers, had both before, would recommend both! Kona Brewing Co is one of my favourite
