Unedited photos of watercolor we did as a christmas gift for an exchange. Also the most quality photos of this painting we have as we gave it away ~30 minutes after it dried and most of the intervening time was spent driving to the venue. Hope you all have a fun rest of year!
Please enjoy Sir Froggy Hopper with a pumpkin head as big as the rest of his body
One of the larger species of Horned Frog, the Brazilian Horned Frog (𝘊𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘳𝘺𝘴 𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘢) A beautiful frog that can rival the size of the prehistoric #Beezlebufo or #DevilToad I love those #RoundFrogs - even more when they are grumpy like this boss. #FrogBoss #BossFrog (at The Amphibian Foundation) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6s_dawh6Jv/?igshid=ivpzjdlpcjyc
This Week in Dinosaur News: A giant frog may have eaten juvenile dinosaurs, a new sauropod in Spain, and more Beelzebufo (a giant Mesozoic frog) may have preyed on juvenile dinosaurs, although dinosaurs probably ate it too…
Am I weird for wanting to have a Beelzebufo as a pet or at least have a big pond full of giant devil frogs in my backyard. While making the neccesary precautions to assure cats and small dogs don't go missing of course. XD
No, that is a completely normal response to seeing that little dude roll down a hill
The new Prehistoric Park is amazing. I wish I could find the rest of the OG from the early 2000's, narrated by Ben Stiller. BUT this is exactly the perfect successor to Walking with dinosaurs and walking with beasts ect. David Attenborugh of course is phenomenal, animal and nature programming narrated by him is practically the gold standard. I just fucking love dinosaurs and extinct animals man. They treat them like REAL ANIMALS, NOT MONSTERS. But they also show perfectly how God damn terrifying a giant pterosaur coming to eat you would be. The animation is so fun too, sometimes it's a little uncanny but then you get Beezlebufo rolling over a log and hopping like a real frog.
And also the babies?! I want a plushy of all of these critters. All of them, even the giant ones I know would happily have me as a happy meal. I think my favorite so far was the Simosuchus. You like crocodiles? How about a little one that burrows in groups like Prarie dogs, has the defense mechanism of a wombat and looks like you mixed an iguana, crocodile, and a pug. AND LOOK HOW SMUG HE LOOKS.
