Basically, it starts cuz Jason realizes he wants to be legally alive again, and struggles to think of a job he'd do well at and actually enjoy. Decides on firefighting cuz that way he can still help people and not do the long form corporate desk bullshit Tim does. So he signs up and gets in.

Firefighter calendar time rolls around and he's SO excited. Except because of his extensive scarring he's not allowed to participate. Steph goes "skill issue" and signs up JUST so she can be in the calendar while Jason can't. He is endlessly bitter about this.

Cass enlists because I don't think she actually has a job??? Just living on Wayne family money and ass kicking. She and Jason are paired together as heavy weight rescue while Steph is paramedic.

Meanwhile Tim is like "actually corporate work sucks ass" and joins the call center. He also makes a back door for the bats to listen in on all the calls. Yes Oracle already did this, but this takes up less ram space.

And Dick is still a cop.
