And here she is! Honestly too not bad, I will adjust a little less fabric on the upper chest but otherwise it's ok in my opinion! I have bought some metal snaps but didn't want to waste them on a prototype, so I did lace up with ribbon

I finally finished this tonight. This is a piece at least 15 years in the making! 👀 my wonderfully talented mommy had plans to make this for me when I was in high school, but was never able to get around to it. I was helping her go through her stashes of fabric a while back and we found this, still all together with the pattern, closures, and material! She unfortunately can’t see or sew too much anymore, and she asked me if I’d like to give it a shot.
