"I have always had a desire to work with children, specifically children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I take great pride in watching each child grow and achieve their goals. It’s fulfilling to walk up to a child’s house and see them waiting for me at the window, showing the impact my work has."

It never fails that whenever you want a decent paying job, you have to first have money. It’s a never-ending cycle.
Last year, I worked as a para educator during the last few weeks of school after the vet field didn’t pan out the way I thought it would. I found that while being a para was challenging, I did find the spark of joy I once had with teaching. The only issue was the commute, so I found something much closer with the same pay and slightly different title. This has the potential of being a huge move in my long term career goals. I just have to come up with the money required for the license to get my initial work detail. With school starting just around the corner, I don’t have a lot of time before this door closes on me.

So today wasn't any better than yesterday, and the night is still young! This is a bruise that caused my thumb to go numb that I acquired while working today. My dog ran away again and then got stuck under the fence. I had to pay 200 for new glasses since my other dog ate my old ones. Also, I came home and it looked like I had been burgled because asshat dog who ate my glasses 2 days ago also decided to eat my house today. Like, everything within her reach has teeth marks. Oh, and the sheriff's department shared pictures of what they found at my dad's house. (With his name omitted but I live in a town of less than 500 so everyone knows who it was.) Yay me!
