I'm worried
I start shadowing other Behavioral Interventionists working with children and adults who were diagnosed with ASD this upcoming week. I am very nervous because I've never done this type of work before despite my college experience as well as child care experiences. Mind you, our company does not believe in restraint methods and we do not implicate them. I am concerned that I may have trouble helping a client calm down during an intense moment they may experience. Does anyone have any tips? They would be greatly appreciated. I would like to provide the best learning and helping experience that I can to people. Thank you!
