Ich lebe mit einer seltenen Erkrankung, dessen Name die meisten Ärzte nur im Studium mal gehört haben. In Deutschland gibt es nur wenige Ärzte, die sich damit auskennen und die meisten unter ihnen arbeiten zusammen. Aber nicht alle sind super. Da diese Erkrankung so selten ist und es in Deutschland derzeit nur knapp um die 600 Patienten mit dieser Erkrankung gibt, ist es ein langer beschwerlicher Diagnoseweg. Und selbst mit der Diagnose ist es teils schwer die richtigen Medikamente zu erhalten. Es gibt viele Patienten, die auch nach Jahren noch leiden, weil sie Medikamente nicht vertragen oder diese nicht wirken. Nur wenige Patienten erhalten für sie wirklich gute Medikamente und leben damit weitestgehend Beschwerdefrei. Ich hatte wie viele einen langen Weg hinter mir und meine Tochter das Glück, dass ich sofort wusste, was zu tun ist und sie eine schnelle Diagnose erhielt. Gern teile ich meine Erfahrung mit Euch, lerne nette Menschen kennen, die sich interessieren, beantworte Fragen, sofern möglich. Auf FB leite ich eine Gruppe Behcet in Deutschland. Wir haben bereits über 200 Mitglieder, davon 3/4 Betroffene. Wir arbeiten gern mit Ärzten und Therapeuten zusammen, nehmen diese auch in die Gruppe auf, genauso wie Familie und Freunde, die helfen möchten und sich informieren möchten.
