So this one time, Crosshairs and Hot Rod were wrestling (CRosshairs really likes wrestling for dominance) and then he kissed Hot Rod, and then Hot Rod kissed back, and then it...devolved, and whoops, lookit that, Crosshairs has hatchlings now

Would they have one bean or more than one bean? If more, how many?

Starts out as one, but then something happens and the spark splits in two and now twins.

What’s the bean’s shape? Size?

One twin is larger than the other, like, a third larger. His brother is smaller, but more dense

Is their bean an exceptionally cuddly squishy blob or no?

The bigger twin is cuddly only to his twin. He hates being seperated from him. He likes to drag his brother around when he goes exploring. The littler twin likes to cling from sire or carriers plating. Whereever one twin goes, the other follows.

Does their bean have basic protoform appendages (chevron, finials, wings, etc.) forming yet?

One twin has Hot Rod’s little wingnubs with Crosshair’s goggles and claws. The smaller twin has the beginings of a trenchcoat and Hot Rod’s large optics. 

Is much is their bean dependent on them?

Bigger twin is only dependant for food. Little twin is dependant on his twin and his parents both ( he needs more suppelments to keep his growth up)

Who does the bean take after more physically?

Both, leaning heavier towards Hot Rod.

Personality-wise, who is the bean more like?

Big hatchling is like Crosshairs, gruff and standoffish until something happens to make him afraid. The other twin is more like, strangely enough, Bumblebee, all innocent optics and happy babbles until someone comes close to hurting his twin or his parents 

How does their bean interact with other grown mechs?

Uncle Bee is the only one allowed to pick up or be near them without angry screeching from both twins (mainly the larger)

How does their bean interact with other protoforms?

Bigger twin is a bully. Bitty twin makes friends until they do something to upset him.

What sounds does their bean make? Are they quiet, make low booping, high beepings, or are they a wee lil screecher?

Big twin knows how to get attention with squeaks and buzzes. Little twin is shier and often will only trill at trusted mechs.

How does their bean move about?

Big twin emerged ready to run. Little twin toddles and is slowly getting the hang of walking.

Where and how often does their bean like to snooze?

They often cuddle up with one another, and only in someones arms. They preferr Hot Rod and Crosshairs to be together, crushing against one another, and soft beeps of alarm will happen if one parent leaves before they are allowed. Bigger twin is awake more than smaller twin (the smaller twin likes to sit in Crosshairs alt mode and snooze sometimes, and if Crosshairs leaves his door open, the larger twin will grumble and climb in, squishing his twin under his larger bulk before dropping off to sleep also.)

headcannon time

The Dynobots were often sent off to far away worlds to make them safe for the colonists. They were often sent to worlds that didnt have energon readily available.

So they were sparked with the ability to eat metallic things and were able to process them into a crude sort of energon. This made it easier for them to refuel while on a world that might be mostly organic.

The larger the energy output, the more they need to eat. 

Sometimes, they like to chew on things to sharpen thier teeth as well as clean them.

How do they have a bean? (Include your headcanons!)

Grimlock and Scorn enjoy cuddle time. ITs even better when Cuddle time is Fun time. Whoops, is that more hatchlings for them? All the better. Scorn finds out hes carrying quite a bit.

Would they have one bean or more than one bean? If more, how many?

They are Dinobots. Scorn, being the largest, can carry multiples. He ends up carrying 11 tiny hatchlings (well, tiny to him and the Dinobots)

What’s the bean’s shape? Size?

They are all pretty tiny, roughly shin high to a human. 

Is their bean an exceptionally cuddly squishy blob or no?

The bits like climbing all over the Dinobots. They love cuddling at night, but also enjoy scattering into the tunnels until night time to explore. 

Does their bean have basic protoform appendages (chevron, finials, wings, etc.) forming yet?

They are all spikey, but the spikes are rather soft and undeveloped. Sharp teeth are a must, as is the claws; long tails, helms too large for thier bodies, bright optics.

Is much is their bean dependent on them?

The bitties need help tearing into metals for development. They crave it, but the tougher metals like in cars is tough for them to rip into.Otherwise, they are pretty independant.

Who does the bean take after more physically?

Both, but Scorn mostly for the spikey backs.

Personality-wise, who is the bean more like?

Both. They are stubborn and curious, quick to anger if something upsets them, quick to defend themselves if something attacks. 

How does their bean interact with other grown mechs?

They love all the mechs who were there when they emerged ( mainly just the Dynobots.) They know of the others, and will play with them, but each mech introduced after thier emergence from the tunnels gets suspicious looks and loud growling until they are shown they are harmless.

How does their bean interact with other protoforms?

They have so many siblings they are used to roughhouseing with, that the other hatchlings that are around better be kept seperate.  They dont mean to be rough; its in thier nature.

What sounds does their bean make? Are they quiet, make low booping, high beepings, or are they a wee lil screecher?

So many noises. They are not afraid to scream and screech for all the needs. But they also know that being quiet is the best to hunt. Or not be found, if someone comes into the yard that isnt friendly.

How does their bean move about?

Very fast. They are good at climbing and holding onto Dynobot plating, and can sprint up to 50 mph on open stretches. They are still learning and growing, so they have speed, but are having issues with turning, stopping, or keeping thier balance. Its almost...comical.

Where and how often does their bean like to snooze?

They snooze as often as possible in the nest. Big piles of hatchlings, somethings sprawling over any Dynobot in the area. They also are nocturnal for safety, so they sleep during the day. Its rare to see one sleeping by itself.

So this one time, Crosshairs and Drift were guided into a cave by a certain nosey Spinosaurus, and then they just kinda....made whoopee

Would they have one bean or more than one bean? If more, how many?

Its just one hatchling, but if Drift wants more, he will get more (Crosshairs never expected to get any, to be fair. He always just loved himself more than anyone else, till Drift shoved himself in his life)

What’s the bean’s shape? Size?

Can be cradled in an arm, hes a medium sized bit. 

Is their bean an exceptionally cuddly squishy blob or no?

Sometimes, he wont let you put him down. If being put down is threatened, he will hook one hand in the others plating. Any other time, when hes bored, he wants to explore. Intense game of hide and go seek.

Does their bean have basic protoform appendages (chevron, finials, wings, etc.) forming yet?

Claws were a given, considering both parents had them. There are the tiny nubs on the back that might be rotar blades, and hes got teeny goggles that sometimes slip over his optics when hes really sleepy. And his helm has the start to the swooping edges Drift’s has.

Is much is their bean dependent on them?

Hes more independent when hes not hungry or sleepy. Crosshairs almost wants a tracker installed, since he can get almost anywhere.

Who does the bean take after more physically?

Drift. Claws, helm shape, rotar blades.....there was no denying this one when he emerged.

Personality-wise, who is the bean more like?

Drift. He has a deep, hidden anger simmering under his plating that flares up after being told no for a long period of time, or any other slight. Otherwise, hes calm and quiet.

How does their bean interact with other grown mechs?

If he doesnt know you, he will hiss and spit if you pick him up. Hes allowed to touch you, but you are not allowed to touch him. Back off, big mech. Hes not afraid of you. 

How does their bean interact with other protoforms?

Crosshairs calls it ‘hunting’(something he miiiiight have inherited from the corvette). He will play nice till the adults turn around, and then he will chase the other hatchlings down and sit on them. Whoever he sits on is his friend, and he will bully the others away until he gets the urge to go hunting again.

What sounds does their bean make? Are they quiet, make low booping, high beepings, or are they a wee lil screecher?

Hes loud when he wants to be. He knows he has Crosshairs wrapped around his digit, and that they both have been prone to go into rages when he screetches. So, if he is uncomfortable in a situation, he will use his voice. He trills and clicks only at his parents.

How does their bean move about?

Quickly. Both of his parents are speedy cars, and he seemed to inherit that. He emerged almost on the run, eager to go out and explore. Crosshairs almost wishes he would have an alt mode to put a ‘boot’ on, to slow him down.

Where and how often does their bean like to snooze?

Mostly inside of Drift’s altmode. If Drift isnt available, then he will sleep in Crosshairs altmode. IF they are both available, then he demands Crosshairs and Drift cuddle and him sandwiched happily between them. (His favorite position is inside of Drift, however. Reminds him of when Drift was carrying him.)
