Being Cockroach - WeDoSky
Thankfully being a part of the NASSCOM’s 5th batch, WeDoSky had the opportunity to be present at one of their networking events in New Delhi. We’ve always been wary of attending large startup events/conferences because more often than not they end up being less productive than what a day at office is.
This event, however, wasn’t like the usual ones and helped us realize one big thing about us: we’ve been unconsciously building a cockroach.
Mr Alok Bajpai of ixigo spoke in detail about how, now, that the initial glamour/wowage about startups in India is settling and Unicorns are again getting seen as the mystical creatures that they are meant to be, being a cockroach -a survivor -is the next cool thing.
Cockroaches, summarily, have survived the extinction of dinosaurs and are believed to be able to survive nuclear disasters. They can live without food & water for upto two weeks and love to gorge on whatever’s available for them to survive.
