First impression: I liked Joyce! Waffles :) lol. But seriously she seemed like she was trying and she was nice to Max and I appreciated that
Impression now: The more I've replayed the less sympathetic I am. Chloe is for sure a difficult child but every time they introduce more canon it's ... not ... super flattering to Joyce imo. I think she wildly mishandled the David situation and that's even before you get into the routes where David hits her and Joyce shrugs it off. I don't want to hold Before the Storm against Joyce much because BTS was garbage lmfao, but it really does not paint a flattering picture of her.
Favorite moment: I like when Max tattles on David's security cams and Joyce kicks him out of the house lmao.
Unpopular opinion: This is only unpopular among certain segments of fandom lol but I find it buck wild when people are like "you gotta sacrifice Chloe bc poor Joyce shouldn't die :(" like what in god's name lmao ... you think joyce would rather have chloe gutshot and be a widow with a dead child???? ??? ? ? ? ? ?...
Favorite relationship: well Chloe is the main one isn't it lol.
