How to make Shonen protagonist
recipe by a bitch who consumes to much shonen.
Ah, the shonen protagonist. The staple of most weebs diets and the fodder for any fangirls head cannons. As wonderful as the content is to consume, manga and anime subsricptions are expensive and so you may find yourself without.
No fear!
The shonen protagonist or the 'shotag' as I'll now be calling it, is actully rather simple to make. Using the ingredients in the back of your cupboard, anyone can whip up a good, home made shotag that's just as good as store bought, if not better!
Today we will be going over how to make a vanilla shotag but feel free to spice it up however you'd like.
Ingredients:
(Two cups) hard line, no killing humans stance
(8 tbs) Unbridled badassory
(1 cup) assortment of powers ranging for op to god destroying
(3 1/2 tbs) cinnamon roll, sunshine child personality
(♾ cups) Angst
( 6 heaped tbs) wit and attitude (can be substituted for nièvaty and innocence)
(1 tsp) Crazy hair/dull hair (never both)
So, now you've got everything, let's get started! First things first, your shotag needs a tradgic backstory. This will really give that angst its flavor. As painfully as possible, remove all family and friends. This will allow your shotag free travel wherever the wind takes them. If this is to bitter for you, you can leave one close family member or friend in the mix.
Next, add some 'MustTM'. A shotag without clear drive tends to turn out dry and bland so make sure the end goal you use is nice as potent.
My favourite brands are:
Must be the best at thing
Must rescue close friend/family
Must seek revenge for tragic backstory
Must track down dausXmachina
Must gain macguffin
Mix these up for fun!
Now it's time to tendorise your shotag. Beat them relentlessly with a brutle training montage. It's a little play by ear here but generally your looking to get a soft, boyish looking face and crazy ripped body to the point that seeing the two together is almost ridicules. This is a grate place to add a mentor if your partial to them but it's not critical.
Here is where more seosend shotag chefs will add an organisation in. It does go well with the MustTM you added earlier, definitely adds a sower flavour and invites a group in if your partial to that but it will add some restrictions later on in the process.
Quickly after this, gently scear your shotag with a nice trile by fire. Pepper in some op powers and infamy and let sit for one day.
This is where many make a comman mistake when preparing a shotag. You see, it may feel that your shotag is already plenty traumatized by this point in preparation but you actully need to marinate your shotag here for a long while to really get those mental and physical scars in deep. To get the salt rubbed in properly, you need to add 'first conflict'. Although usually confused with 'trile by fire', 'first confict' is VERY bitter on it's own. Let your shotag fail miserably and sit for a few days.
Finally, you need your Phoenix moment to give your shotag that hopeful aftertaste they are so famous for. Add a dash of enlightenment to get your shotag moving.
And their you have it! One fresh shotag, ready to go!
Be sure to rate the recipe and let me know how yours turned out!
