Thoughts: This song played on my drive home today and I was singing so loud and having so much fun. Then I was thinking about byler and it hit me how truly INSANE it is that in the original script he was supposed to take his belt off instead of his jacket. I kind of just laughed about it before but it sunk in how diabolical that actually is. Call me Holly Wheeler the way I be loving this song and shipping byler.

I can’t believe that was the original dialogue in the script. That belt wouldn’t have done shit, just like the jacket. Mike, it’s oaky you just wanted to see Will take it off.

If they had kept that line in, as much as it is very gay of Mike to say that. I also think he just didn’t want to use his pretty rhinestone belt to stop all that dirty water.

Thinking about beltgate a lot! It's clear a belt is going to have some significance in this season, and my theory is that there will be a parallel flashback scene of Vecna and Will (tw: abuse) being hit by their fathers with a belt (awful ik) when they were younger to further the idea of their connection and similarities perhaps? And the belt could become a symbol for overcoming abuse and fear for Will?
