Hey! I wasn't sure which blog to send this to but I have a question!
So you know how most of our OC's have a part of us?? Stuff we see in ourselves (Likes, dislikes, flaws, features, etc), things we wish we were, etc? I know at least mine are all like that, whether I meant to or not.
Well-
Which of your F/O's (or just characters you really really really love) would your OC's be into?? XD
(I'll start- Rena would o b s e s s over Wayne.)
You don't have to answer this, I just thought it was interesting to think about and figured I'd mention it XD Have a great day!! ^^
Ok now you HAVE to tell me who of your F/O's and favorite characters YOUR OC's would be into!!! I need to know more! Especially with Rena and Wayne! (Imagine Rena in the Bickerman Twins AU 👀)
So, let's see... I have way way way too many OC's throughout fandoms, so I'll just use the OC's I've already posted 😅
Ben Cottontail
... I feel like he might be into Tiffany. At least if he saw her from across the street when she's acting like a normal member of society. But he's also judging her choice of fashion. Cause he's a little bitch-
Would absolutely become a victim of Tiffany's. And he'd deserve it.
Hm... I can also see him thinking Baby is cute. Like if he was driving the car and picking her up off the side of the road? But he also would quickly get the weird vibes from her.
Low key thinks Jerry is handsome, but because he's close minded, he decided to be hateful and jealous about Jerry's looks and success. Because NO he is NOT attracted to a man at all!
Henry Foxworth
Oh he would SO be into Tiffany. And he ain't afraid of it... Granted his instincts are telling him that she's bad news... But a pretty lady needs a hand with her heavy luggage? How can he resist? (*cough* imagine this is how Henry met Rena? 🤭 he got bedazzled by her beauty first and offered a hand, but then when he caught up with his instincts and saw how crazy she was, he tried to ditch? 😅)
I bet he'd be into Harper Alexander, too 😏 cute country boy with a devilish smirk? Nice. Maybe they can get into all kinds of trouble together. Henry has his fair share of experience with seducing the ladies to get what he wants (see Poppy) so thats one thing he and Harper have in common.
Moony Wolf
Hm... Tbh im having a hard time thinking of who, if anyone, Moony would be attracted to 😅 he likes sweethearts and has a bit of a size difference kink (Poppy ruined him). And I'm not sure if my F/O's line with his tastes?
I can see him thinking Tiffany was pretty- he absolutely would punt Chucky for all his fat comments before getting Tiffany her favorite treat.
And Tinman is sweet, too... But his history with wolves? Its got Moony a bit nervous 😅
Shiny Weasel
Like Rena, Baby is a cutie. But she is so evil and insane that she and Shiny would hate fuck if anything.
Shiny would look Scroop up and down, and smirk at his attitude. She's never dommed a spider before, and she wants to see if she can make that little psycho beg for her attention. (She's a toon. She's shared a bed with all kinds of toons- humanoid and anthropomorphic. So she wouldn't be deterred by an alien).
Hmm... I'm not sure if she'd be attracted to Audrey II, but she definitely wants a duet with them. They're both hot as hell singers with voices that can make any person with a working set of ears melt! Its destiny that they collaborate!
Same with Russ! Only Shiny would absolutely fuck him. His eyeliner game is on point, and she k n o w s that tongue would feel amazing.
😏 oh Harper thinks he knows how BDSM works? "Oh you sweet innocent country boy... C'mere and let mama teach you a thing or two~"
Aww, Tinny is adorable... But a bit too intense for her liking 😅
Oooh Granny is a hottie though. She likes how just because he's more on the silent side doesn't mean he's shy.
She wouldn't mind a night with Tiffany or Jerry, either. But I can see her being on more platonic terms with them. Sure! She'll help out with Tiffany and her voodoo. Jerry, you better keep your eyes off her neck though.
Terry Ratt. T
As you know, Terry likes 'em big 😏 he would be looking up (and up, and up) at RJ and need a minute sucking on his cig before he can properly speak again.
Tinman is also a lot more intense then he's used to... But he could get along with the goober (affectionate). And its sweet how he fumbles over himself when he's nervous.
Harper is pretty... But ultimately not his type. And that's probably for the best.
And now a recent addition- Ratigan 😏 a bit too prim and proper for his taste. But hey, birds of a feather flock together, right? (Besides he's big too.) They can share cigarettes! "Y'better not complain 'bout my brand, though."
Poppy O'Hare
Since my inspiration for Shiny was Tiffany, I think its safe to say Poppy would also be into Ms. Valentine 🤭 just... Don't let her see the blood.
RJ is big and gentle with animals? Poppy's tail is twitching beneath her skirt.
Harper is also akin to a certain fox... But she has learned her lesson. He won't charm her so easily.
TINMAN!!!! Yes yes Poppy would be scared at first. But can you imagine these two?? Poppy sewing him covers for all his blade fingers in the DMD universe? Tinman protecting her? Knowing how timid she is and sees her as someone delicate to protect? Especially when she's so sweet and kind to him?? I KNOW WHO YOU ARE ANON, TELL ME YOU SEE THE VISION!!!!
In a previous post I did say she would be intrigued by Scroop... but I dont think it would go any further on her part then scientific curiosity XD
👀👀👀 ok remember on your blog we talked about Ratigan and the Toon Patrol working together? I can't remember if I told you, but since Poppy is closely tied to them, she absolutely would have wound up meeting the Professor. Can you see these two sipping tea together and discussing their interests? Poppy with insects and Ratigan with mathematics and music?... I can see Poppy developing a crush on him.
.... She likes Audrey II's voice a bit too much-
Poppy thinks The Hessian is handsome, too. In that gothic fairytale way... untik he opens his mouth.
Imagine the Roo's dressing up as the Lion King's Hyena trio for Halloween XD Rena is obviously Shenzi and she & King (as Banzai) get totally into it; are making dumb jokes and cackling all night, while Ryan's Ed is just completely uncharacteristically silent and scowly, drinking whiskey or something XD
What Disney henchmen/or/sidekicks do you think your WFRR OC's might dress up as for Halloween? XD
(*cough* Lottie would turn up as full-on Scar.)
I need you to know that I literally squealed when I saw this notification. ROO THOUGHTS!!!
Oh my god XDDD yes. I love this. This is probably the one time King actually chose to get specially dressed up for the night XD I need Ryan being all grumpy in his hyena outfit watching his sister and in-law make fools of himself XD (if Maya was still around, she could have been Zazu? Or one of the background hyenas so Ryan won't be alone ^^ XD) And Lottie showing up as Scar is PERFECT!
Ohhh which sidekicks my OC's would dress up as?? Hm...
Ben: Doesn't dress up for Halloween in general, so I can't see him making an exception here. He's such a spoil sport (though, I do imagine him dressing up as The King of Hearts, even if he's not exactly a sidekick).
Henry: oh Henry would absolutely dress up as Honest John or Br'er Fox. C'mon, it's right there!!! He can laugh about the irony XD I can also see him pulling off Sir Hiss' outfit (even though it's just a hat and cloak XD), possibly the Sheriff of Nottinham? Might be too flashy for him though 🤔 (how would Rena react to Henry dressed up so handsomely like John or the Sheriff? 😏)
Moony: I can also see him wearing the Sheriff' royal garb- except he'd bring more muscle to the look XD KRONK!!! He could pull off a Kronk costume!! He's got a similar build to the guy anyway. Ohh he could be one of Captain Hook's pirates, too! Or maybe Scroop. It'd be easy, that alien only wears a cap and a vest. Moony can do that~ 😏
Poppy: I can actually totally see her dressing up as LeFou- either version. She'd look cute in the little French man's suit, I bet ^^ she could also pull off a Sir Hiss look, too! And with how small she is, it could look like those adorable designs of tiny characters with big and wide cloaks!! 🥹 ohh maybe she and Shiny can dress up as Anastasia and Drizella?
Shiny: Ok technically Pixar isn't the same as Disney, but Shiny would pull off Ken's outfits, with Barbie's spunk! It doesn't help that I've imagined her interrogating/torturing Greasy the same way Barbie does Ken XDD (also Shiny would be caught wearing her heels through her disguise, even if it's an astronaut suit XD). She also has soooo many burlesque outfits with feathers and fur; she can put her own spin on the animal sidekicks, such as Diablo or the Cheshire Cat (I am terrified of the prospect of a sexy Iago costume 😭)
Terry: Jasper and Horace. But they're so close enough to his style, everyone assumes he's just dressed as normal XD bro has to explain his own costume 🥲
If the weasels can count; Shiny is absolutely putting her own spin on Greasys suit (an open buttoned blouse instead of a pink tie, for one 😏), Moony can be Stu, he's the only one who can wear the shirt and carry the bat comfortably XD Henry called dibs on Smartass' suit, so Poppy wears Psycho's straightjacket (it looks comfy so she'd be happy either way. But I also think she could pull off SA's suit). Terry can be Wheezy, and Ben can be one of the deleted weasels XD
Thank you for asking! This was fun to think about!! ^^
I think I'm getting a little bit back into Dragon Ball. Though I'm still on my WFRR/Tooniverse kick... I'm certain you guys know what happens when interests collide XD
WFRR DRAGON BALL AU
I know this is silly, but what does it matter if it's fun? ^^ also, I'm gonna give everyone Dragon Ball-esque names. I'm not sure how well I'll do though, so if anybody has any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear!
Gume (Eddie Valient): A retired world martial arts tournament champion. After the death of his brother, Slooth, he lost his passion and resorted to alcohol to drown his sorrows, and refuses to partake in the tournament anymore, but has taken on a private investigator job. Even so, he is still a very skilled fighter, and pretty powerful for a human. A bit rusty around the edges, but he's still a formidable opponent.
Eddie's name is the first half of gumshoe. A gumshoe being another name for a private detective. Teddy's name is a misspelling of sleuth, another name for a private investigator.
Shoa (Delores): Shoa had also competed in the tournaments herself- in fact, that was how she met the brothers. However, nowadays, she's focused on trying to support Gume, and can be found in the city's bar as simultaneously the bartender and the security guard. She'll still help out Gume with some of his jobs, and can very easily hold her own in a fight. It's no wonder Gume and Shoa make an unbreakable pair.
Delores' name is a play on the second half of Gumshoe. Her and Eddia complete each other in more than one way ^^
Usagi (Roger Rabbit): A spry and cheerful acrobat who first introduced Gume to chi. He was looking to train under Gume, and his persistence managed to break through the gruff man. Usagi was actually quite surprised that Gume hadn't already harnessed his chi, but was more than happy to teach him everything his wife taught him. As such, the two slowly but surely developed a close bond and alliance.
Usagi is the Japanese word for Rabbit (according to Google Translate. I apologize for any mistranslation)
Uta the Sairen (Jessica Rabbit): Uta didn't originate from Earth. She came from a far-off planet after her home was destroyed. Her ship had landed on Usagi's property, and the two have been inseparable ever since. They fell in love sometime while she was teaching Usagi how to harness his chi, and she's taken it upon herself to protect him. Uta wasn't too sure about Gume, especially when he saw her and made some wild accusations about her purpose on Earth and why she chose to marry a human. But after seeing how protective she is of Usagi and her new home, and also having the chance to fight alongside her, Gume has had a change of heart, and would trust her with his life.
Jessica's name is the Japanese word for song, and her species name is Japanese for siren. I'm thinking maybe her planet would have been home to Betty Boop, Holli Would, Red Hot Riding Hood, and other attractive toons. I'm not quite sure why their planet could have been destroyed, but I'm certain that will become a plot point in this AU.
Beebee the Monoian (Baby Herman): Another alien that came to Earth, though only because he was searching for glory. Despite his jolly sounding name and youthful appearance, Beebee is a rather temperamental and nasty old man that uses his looks to sway humans and become a famous actor among them. He even convinced Usagi for a time that he was a friend- though Uta saw through his tricks and doesn't buy his act one bit. Even so, he had grown a soft spot for Earth and Usagi, and will help out when needed.
Herman's name is just a fun misspronounciation of baby. And his species' name is the second half of Wakamono, which is Japanese for youth.
Axit, Android 07 (Benny the Cab): A robotic creation of the infamous doctor. Axit was an experiment gone wrong; meant to be a war weapon, it seemed that somehow emotions had been programmed into him. Or at least the ability to process them. It wasn't too long before Axit rebelled against his creator, and set on his own journey. He met Usagi, and the two have become great friends. Despite being a machine, Axit has grown rather friendly and boisterous, and serves the city's public transport system. Though, being a weapon of war, you don't want to get on this androids bad side.
Benny's name is a jumbled spelling of Taxi. And his android number is for 1907, when meters were first implemented in taxis.
Doctor Domo (Judge Doom): A mysterious and cruel scientist who seems to make it his life's work to take over the city. Not much is known about him, not even his colleagues- now employees after he took ownership of the company Clover Tech- know much about him... There are rumors, however, that Dume is not as human as he claims to be...
Doom's name is just a fun jumbled spelling of his own name.
Pin-Kuu, Android 47 (Smartass Weasel): One of Domo's most successful creations just so happens to not be entirely machine. He, along with his whole team, were taken as humans and experimented on. None of them remember their human lives, but have become very powerful due to their mechanical enhancements. Since he is the most 'obedient' as well as ruthless and intelligent, Android, Domo has placed him in charge of the others. Though Pin-Kuu, along with his squad, aren't too happy about following the doctors orders... And now, with all the power at their fingertips, they'll be able to take matters into their own hands soon enough.
Smartass' name is a slight misspelling of the Japanese word for pink. And his Android number is for 1947, when the events of Who Framed Roger Rabbit take place. Also, notably, the same death year for Al Capone. (Also, for those who don't know, yes, they should be called cyborgs, but for some reason, in Dragon Ball, Android 18 and 17 were always called androids. As such, the weasels will carry this tradition in this AU)
Dori, Android 20 (Greasy Weasel): Dubbed as the second in command by Pin-Kuu, Dori is a rather selfish and wicked minded android. He was surprised when, after many failed experiments, Pin-Kuu not only survived but also rose the ranks in Domo's little army, and it wasn't too long before the two became 'allies' (or rather friends, as they would call each other after being given the freedom to live as humans again). Dori also makes it clear to anybody- especially pretty women like Uta- that just because he's part machine doesn't mean that he's lost his touch.
Greasy's name is the shortened japanese word for green, midori, and his Android number is for 1920, when the alcohol prohibition ended.
Ao, Android 14 (Wheezy Weasel): The second eldest living android, Ao doesn't look all that threatening, especially since he's not so obvious with his unnatural powers as the rest of his team are. But make no mistake, Ao is just as ready to break free of the lab as much as anyone. Though he also seems to be the only one really concerned about the bombs Domo planted in their chests as a precaution. If it weren't for Ao's sage advice of laying low for now, the others probably would have gotten themselves blown up. He's proven to be an irreplaceable member of team Android in many ways.
Wheezy's android name is Japanese for blue, and his Android number is a reference to cigarettes costing between 14 to 20 cents in the 1930's.
Kiiro, Android 11 (Psycho Weasel): One of the oldest androids, next to Axit, Kiiro has seen it all. Even as a human, he was wild and unstable, pushing Domo's limits with his expertise and patience, and even prompting the doctor to build a special suit for Kiiro; one that, with a push of a button, will restrain him if needed. The agonizing experiments as well as his imprisonment have driven Kiiro to madness, and he looks forward to the day he can rip the doctor in half for everything.
Psycho's name is Japanese for yellow, and his Android number is in reference to the first public asylum being opened in 1811.
Akka, Android 48 (Stupid Weasel): Even with all of his power, Akka is... Not the sharpest tool in the shed. But somehow, he still retained his big heart despite all the experiments. He will follow his brother and friends to the ends of the Earth, and had unfortunately only humbly followed what they did (though it didn't really help that it was drilled into his brain by Domo that he was only a tool for destruction). When they had a chance to live freely again, however, it was Akka who came to a good, normal life easiest, and the first to befriend Usagi and Gume despite their part in his and his team's defeat.
Stupid's name is a slight misspelling of the Japanese word for red, and his Android number is meant to be the one right after Smartass' as they are brothers.
Bonus! My OC's
Hanni (Poppy): As Usagi's cousin, Gume expected the woman to be as goofy and energetic as he was. He never would have expected a down to earth farmer to be related to Usagi and Uta. Hanni chose to live outside the city after some incident she doesn't like to talk about, and is much happier working on her rhubarb farm. At first, she was hesitant to learn how to fight and how to use her chi. However, when the Earth and her loved ones barely survived a massive threat, Hanni sought out Uta and Shoa to train under them, not wanting to just stand on the sidelines the next time help was needed. Even if she isn't the strongest human, her patience and kind heart shine through, especially when it came to a certain group of androids.
Poppy's name is meant to be a misspelling of the Japanese word for honey (I would have used flower or poppy, but I preferred how honey sounded).
Mura, Android 62 (Shiny Weasel): One of the last androids that Domo created. He put all of his perfected experience into Mura, making her a formidable foe in battle... Though he never found a way to reprogram her attitude and fierce independence, and that was part of his downfall. Being in the same boat as the others, Mura became close with all of them, especially Dori. When Hanni saved them and gave them a chance to live life as humans again, it was actually Mura that softened up to her first.
Shiny's name is the first half of the Japanese word for purple, murasaki. And her android number is a reference to when moonshine was illegalized in 1862.
Urufī (Moony Wolf): Originally, he was a brute of a martial artist. Snarling and pushing others around and seemingly holding onto some kind of anger in his heart. It wasn't until Gume humbled him in battle, and Hanni stood up to him on her cousins behalf, did Urufī really look inside himself and change his ways. After he became calm and caring, he and Hanni actually fell in love and lived together on her farm for some time. However, the two had decided it was best to remain friends for some unknown reason, and Urufī moved back into the city. Now working as a butcher, he and Hanni still cross paths at the market, and get along quite well. And he will always come to fight when his new friends are in danger.
Moony's name is the Japanese pronunciation/word for wolfy (I hope I spelled it right. Please correct me if I didn't.)
Fokushī (Henry Foxworth): A sly and conniving con artist, Fokushī plays with peoples hearts and trust like his life depends on it. It does become very helpful slipping away from enemies, but he's not a very strong man to begin with. And he knows it. When he met Hanni and used her kindness to get what he wanted from her before leaving, he had no idea that he would become the target of her new friends- nor would exoect a meek little thing like her to become so strong.
Henry's name is the Japanese pronunciation/word for foxy
Banī (Ben Cottontail): A city boy who is actually weaker than Fokushī, Banī seems to only focus on his life rather than the whole world around him, especially after he and Hanni split up and she left the city. Being one of the many humans killed and brought back to life, however, really scared him. He has no idea how it happened or what to do with this information, but he's become much more defensive. Even if anyone on this list could fold him like a lawn chair.
Ben's name is the Japanese pronunciation/word for bunny
Rati (Terry Ratt T.): One of the few empathetic scientists thar had worked at Clover Tech. He knew that everything Domo was doing was wrong, but was powerless to stop him. When the androids were still enemies, it was actually Rati who told everyone about the bomb and gave them the device to activate it, believing this to be more of a mercy kill for the androids- though was pleasently surprised to see Hanni wanted to give them a second chance. It took a long time for them to trust him, though once Rati proved he wanted nothing to do with Domo's experiments, he's now a trusted 'repairman' for the androids, including Axit. And has even become a close friend to Mura and Ao in particular.
Terry's name is the Japanese pronunciation/word for ratty.
This AU definitely needs some polishing if I'm gonna do more with this, but I hope you guys have fun reading this! ^^
May Akir Toriyama rest in peace. He left behind an unforgettable legacy.
It's very easy to tell when Poppy is thinking about someone she's in love with. Because when she's fallen deep into la la land, little cartoon hearts start floating around her. And they pop when someone jolts her out of her daydream.
Shiny has a small, almost pouch like purse that she carries with her. She'll swing it round and round when she's bored, and it's her hammerspace as well. She'll pull out all sorts of things that should never be able to fit inside it. It also makes it pretty useful when she smacks someone with it and it flings them across the room, ("What do you have in there!?" *smirking* "Just a toolbox, a couple of bricks, and three jars of change I've been 'forgetting' to take to the bank~")
Moony absolutely does dog things. He'll scratch at his ears, sometimes with his own foot in his sleep. He'll whimper and paw at, say a door, if he's sad and lonely. Moony definitely howls, especially on the full moon. He has a strong urge to bury things, etc he's a good boy now, but he's still a wolf. Also he will quickly be subdued with head pats and belly rubs.
Henry can do that thing in cartoons where a characters arm will extend a certain ways to reach in purses or pockets. I'm not sure how long his hand can go, but who knows with toons? Also one time he fell for the 'gravity only works when you look down' gag.
Ben has the 'bad luck' gag. Where he's over confident in himself, almost similar to Daffy Duck, and terrible things befall him. Like finding himself in a dog pound while running away from an assailant.
As a toon drawn with gloves, Terry- if needed- can remove them and as such, take his hands off as well. And he can put them back on, too. He avoids trouble as much as possible, but there have been some instances where he needed to use this specific gag.
8) Greatest strength and greatest flaw about your OC?
Ben's greatest strength, I suppose, is how dedicated he can be. For example, he's pretty committed to his garden, and he's pretty decent at the bank he works at. All his coworkers think he's a nice guy. So Ben can work hard.
His greatest flaw, however, is his insecurity. Even though he tries to deny it, deep down, Ben knows he's not the greatest guy. And this causes him to lash out on strangers and loved ones alike, and bring all kinds of pain and trouble.
21) Any embarrassing secrets your OC demands you take to the grave but you will share anyway?
One time at college, Ben had the right drink and kissed his dorm mate. It ruined the rest of the year for them both (@slashingdisneypasta if Rena wants to know what made him act up, it was sherry 😏)
Henry
8) Greatest strength and greatest flaw about your OC?
His greatest strength would be his self-preservation instincts, I think. Yes, he's a drifter that gets himself into trouble, but he's kind of done pretty well for himself, all things considering? He hasn't gotten into too many fights, and he knows what risks are worth taking. He's made some mistakes over the years, but for the most part, Henry has survived as long as he had for a reason.
As for his weakness, he can be pretty cocky sometimes and miscalculate his moves. He can bite off more than he can chew, and that's how he gets into the fights and situations he's gotten into. He's had nightmares about some of the people he's encountered, and near death experiences he's had.
21) Any embarrassing secrets your OC demands you take to the grave but you will share anyway?
He considers his relationship with Poppy a secret he doesn't want to share. His 'relationship' with her was the longest and most emotionally involved con he's done by far. He didn't necessarily plan on being her boyfriend until he saw how much money she really had. He knows he hurt her badly, but he's not necessarily ashamed of what he did. He considers it taking advantage of a golden opportunity... But he does remember how kind and loving she was, even if it was a little skewed on her end (this was before Poppy had start self-improving, so she was a bit clingy and her giving Henry whatever he asked mainly stemmed from her fear of being alone rather than her love for him). It's not something he really wants to talk about.
Moony
8) Greatest strength and greatest flaw about your OC?
Moony's greatest strength, other than his muscles, is his willpower. Yes, there are plenty of times his rabid side rears its ugly head. There are many times that his anger issues will get in his way, just like anybody who struggles with emotions. But he's determined to be better and get a hold of himself again as soon as possible. He's always trying his best to be a better person than he was years ago.
His weakness, I would say, is his fear. His fear for his past and what he's done, what's he's capable of doing. He's scared he'll squeeze someone's hand too hard and crush it. He loves closeness and intimacy, but he doesn't want to cut someone with his teeth. Granted, he has grown more confident in himself in this regard, but it's still there.
21) Any embarrassing secrets your OC demands you take to the grave but you will share anyway?
It's not too too embarrassing, but he can get a little flustered when someone figures out how dog-like he really is; he loves ear scratches and belly rubs, he immediately stabds at attention when someone passes by his front door like the mailman or a jogger (he does not bark, though! He's a good boy ^^). If you catch him in the right mood, he'll even go fetch a stick you throw! And then give you the -_- look when he realizes what you did XD
A real embarrassing secret for him, though, is the fact that he's scared of insects. Specifically the flying/jumping ones. He'll yelp and jump a whole foot in the air XD And yes, he does consider it ironic that his ex absolutely loved them the little buggers XD
Poppy
8) Greatest strength and greatest flaw about your OC?
It's definitely her big heart. It takes so, so much for her to be cold, and she'll offer a kind hand to anybody. Yes, she can be in conflict with what is lawfully right, especially if she's in love with a criminal. But she doesn't have a hateful cell in her body. Just like with an elephant or a whale, if Poppy started yelling, or god forbid hitting someone, I would 100% put the fault on the other person.
Her weakness, however, similar to Moony, is her fear. She has been working on herself and she has grown from the doormat that dated Henry, but she does still have some bad habits. For example, she'd much rather avoid conflict rather than take on the problem. Whether it be a mugger or someone she loved. As such, it can be easy to take advantage of her. Another example is how smothering she can come off at times. Especially as a first-time mother.
21) Any embarrassing secrets your OC demands you take to the grave but you will share anyway?
She accidentally set a trashcan on fire and stayed in jail until it was cleared up ☺
Shiny
8) Greatest strength and greatest flaw about your OC?
It's definitely her confidence. She doesn't let anybody shake her, not paying patrons or strangers who think she cares about their opinion. Shiny is not outgoing and loud for feminism. She's outgoing and loud because that's how she wants to be. She doesn't work in burlesque because it was her only option after she hit rock bottom. Shiny works in the nightclub because she wants to. She's doing what she loves, and doesn't let anyone tell her she's worth nothing because of her position in life.
However, her stubbornness and pride can be her weakness, too. It definitely helps her, but it's a double-edged sword for her as well. Shiny can be blinded by herself. It can be hard for her to accept help sometimes, and she can be quick to judge someone she just met- and stick by her judgment for a while. Whether it be thinking someone can do no wrong or they are the devil incarnate.
21) Any embarrassing secrets your OC demands you take to the grave but you will share anyway?
Hmmm... I can't think of any embarrassing secrets she may have. Shiny is pretty open with the people she trusts. And would want them to be the same with her. She doesn't push them to tell her anything, but she's definitely encouraging and receptive to anything you want to tell her ^^
Terry
8) Greatest strength and greatest flaw about your OC?
I haven't developed Terry too much, so this may change in the future. But right now, I think Terry's strength is his innate ability to read the room. You don't have to say a word for him to tell whether you're tired, angry, happy, whatever. He can walk into a room full of people he hasn't met, and he can tell whether or not this is a party or a wake... Ok, bad example, anyone can tell the difference, but what I mean still stands XD
His weakness sometimes is that he's not much of a talker. Which isn't really a bad thing, but he can sometimes fail to really express what's on his mind. Not really because he's actively trying to hide himself, but more like he doesn't realize he's doing it. If that makes sense? When he's told, though, he'll acknowledge the mistake and try to clarify as best as he can.
21) Any embarrassing secrets your OC demands you take to the grave but you will share anyway?
Terry needs something, a blanket or a jacket or whatever, around his head when he sleeps. If he passes out without one, he'll wake up shortly after and curse because his sleep was interrupted XD this can get interesting when he has a few beers and gets sleepy XD
Thank you so much for this ask!! It helped me develop Terry more, and I feel like I cleared up the others a bit more. But it was also so fun!!! ^^
Ooh! I have a random fun OC question for you if you want it!
Imagine that Poppy's boyfriends came into her life in a different order. For example Moony was first, then Ben, then Henry was the most recent. How do you think that would change Poppy's character if at all? 🤔
If you don't answer, I hope this gives you something interesting to ponder anyway! ^^
Ohhh this is an interesting thought!! Granted, not all of Poppy's issues were caused by her relationship with Henry, but they did play a part in them. Being with the best guy out of the bunch while at her lowest point? Let's see...
Also, since Poppy met Henry in a bar, I'm gonna say she met Moony in that bar, too. It still fits for their characters at that point in time.
Moony, I imagine around this time, was just starting to work on himself. He had been at it for a bit when he met Poppy in the original timeline, so he was a bit better at himself. Here, though, he's only just picked up self-help books, and Cake isn't around yet to be his emotional support animal. He hadn't at all expected to see Poppy here, and neither did she him. I can imagine she already had a drink or two, so her reaction was a bit slow, but she was still scared of Moony. Moony, having no clue what to say to her and seeing she's scared does discourage him, but he sees she came out here alone and offers to call her a cab or something. His way of apologizing to her without overstaying his welcome. Though Poppy... She's not sure why, maybe it's the alcohol impairing her judgment. Or she's really lonely tonight. But she asks Moony to stay with her instead. Moony, caught off guard but not wanting to leave an intoxicated alone in this part of town, does sit with her. And they talk, and they laugh, and Moony drives her home so she can sleep ^^
Sorry, I wanted to type out that wholesome meeting XD anyways- Poppy is still in her miserable acting business and Moony is just starting to work on himself. So there are probably going to be moments between them. Like maybe Moony accidentally snarls at her even though he's angry at someone else, and Poppy is especially sensitive now and clings onto him in a not so healthy way. But they both genuinely love each other, and Moony does his best to treat her right- which he does. And he makes it clear to her that she didn't do anything wrong when he's mad. This allows Poppy to see him as just being a toon who needs help, so she's right beside him while he's figuring out how to handle himself. They both read the same books- which actually start to help Poppy herself, Poppy is understanding, albeit a bit overbearing with trying to make sure Moony is OK, and they even adopt Cake together ^^
So yeah, although it may not be 100% healthy with their struggle with mental and emotional health, they do still love and care for each other. They're just more delicate at these stages in their lives now. In this timeline, I can see Moony breaking things off with Poppy not because he fell out of love, but because he's too scared of hurting her. Despite Poppy's attempts to keep him around and convince him that she knows he won't hurt her, he still leaves, believing it to be the best for her. Which, honestly, probably left them both even more heartbroken, as they still love and yearn for each other. He does want to still be friends though, so Poppy does at least look forward to that (I'm debating on whether or not she'd try to convince him that they can still be together as friends, both for his sake and because she doesn't want to lose him as a boyfriend. She is more clingy and desperate for love at this point in time, but that also sounds too forceful for her. I'll have to think more on it).
And then Ben comes along and fucks up the progress Poppy was making 🙃 Poppy is of course left sad and heartbroken after Moony made it clear that he won't get back together with her. Then she meets this asshole in the same, if not similar, way she meets him in the OG timeline. She helps him out, but this time decides to give him her number for him to call her (since Moony didn't take all of Poppy's stuff, she has a nice simple house in Uptown. Meaning that she never lived in Downtown, and learned the dangers of offering your number to complete strangers. To put it in short, Poppy is more trusting of people at this point in time). Which he decides to do in the morning once he sobers up. They talk and meet up, and Poppy finds herself falling for this seemingly nice guy.
She feels bad, though. As she doesn't think she's ready to move on from Moony. Though after he encourages her to go ahead and start dating again (before he met this Ben, I assure you), she decided to give it a try. They seem pretty good together, at first. Ben seems to be a pretty decent fellow, despite his drinking, and Poppy wants to give him a chance like she gave Moony the chance he needed. Things seem to be going OK, until Poppy introduces Ben to her friend and ex, Moony. And doesn't hide the fact that they used to date because she's trying to be 100% honest with her partner ^^
Ben, seeing that he's not the first guy Poppy has been with (and feeling pretty insecure with Moony. He's tall, handsome, and has a nice voice), and the fact that now he knows that Poppy still talks with her ex, starts to grow distaste for her now. And Moony could sniff out that Ben wasn't a good egg from their meeting. Though he was more hesitant to bring this up with Poppy, not wanting her to think he's trying to take back what he said about her dating. Though once Poppy started confiding in him about how distant Ben has been and how he seems angry at her, that's when Moony decides he's had enough and goes to talk to Ben. He does have a better grip on his temper now. Though he's still pretty fucking pissed at Ben so he's probably still a bit intimidating while trying to be calm.
This is what spurs Ben to break up with Poppy here. Moony scared him. He had been thinking about doing it anyway, but Moony unintentionally made him go for it. He still tries to turn this around on Poppy, saying how you can't trust anybody who's friends with their ex, and then leaves Poppy confused and wondering what she did wrong. Moony comforts her as best as she can, and resists hunting down that jerk and tearing him a new one, but Poppy still feels guilty that she somehow made Ben think she couldn't be trusted (my god, baby girl, I'm so sorry you did nothing wrong! 😭😭😭).
Ah, now we get to the other bastard. Henry. Thanks to Moony, Poppy has been able to recover better from Ben, and just in general have a better well-being. He even helped her out with completely cutting her parents off ^^ she was hoping to spend some time by herself, so when Henry came along, she wasn't easily swayed. Flattered, yes, but she didn't take him home right away. He was just looking for some company, and as such, didn't pursue her further when she made it clear she wasn't interested in that. So unless Poppy somehow made it clear she was from the nice side of town, and he saw easy exploitation, he wouldn't have gone further with her like the OG timeline. So Poppy shouldn't have to worry about him ^^
... Though maybe Henry could steal her wallet/purse. And since that has all of her valuables, maybe Poppy could try filing a report with the local authorities. Which, perhaps at this time, could be a certain weasel patrol? 👀👀👀
I know you didn't involve her, but I wanted to add Shiny since I've been thinking about this. Bonus if Shiny was the one Poppy met that night at the bar.
Shiny is younger, but she does know by now what she likes. So she did try to woo Poppy similarly to Henry. She could see she had some money on her, so she was hoping to get a one night stand and rob the cute bunny while she was asleep. Though Poppy, although very charmed and flustered, was also denying the feelings this woman was invoking within her (that's another woman?? She don't hate, but she's not gay!... Right?). But again, this was while Poppy was at a very low point in her life and was far too easily won over. So, even though she was certain this wasn't going to lead anywhere, Poppy let Shiny come with her back to her house... Just to spend time together as friends! Nothing more!
Except they did take it to the bedroom... So Shiny didn't have to worry about getting a cab home... And they may or may not have gotten up close... And kissed... Aaaaaand it would have led to more, but Poppy decided she was too tired and snuggled into Shiny. Totally not because she was flustered and confused with herself and wanted to pause everything while she was figuring herself out. And since Poppy was holding onto her, Shiny couldn't slip out of the bed. So she had no choice but to cuddle the soft cutie. Oh what a terrible fate it was for the thief.
In the morning, Poppy apologizes for how she acted the night before while cooking up breakfast for them both (she honestly isn't sure what else to do XD), and Shiny assures her she did nothing wrong. Which she was being genuine about. She understands how overwhelming a sexual awakening can be. But she keeps getting distracted from eying the place for valuables because Poppy... Still wants to talk? First she made her food, and now she's trying to chat? What's next? She's gonna call her 'sweet'???... Oh god, Poppy did. Is she a cinnamon roll or just a kiss up? Shiny tries to deny her growing attachment to this little rabbit and decides to leave without taking anything. Well, except Poppy's number after it was offered... What!? Don't you look at her like that!
Eventually, the two fall in love and start dating ^^ it takes longer though, even though Poppy falls completely head over heels in love. Shiny has her own issues, feeling a bit afraid to get close with someone after losing her mother (I'm still ironing out her story, but I've got a better idea for Shiny's family now). But when she lets go and lets Pops in, she too completely falls deeply in love. Might get a bit too attached/protective of Poppy than her older self would, especially when she sees how much Poppy is going through at her job and her family. And Poppy is also very concerned about Shiny's way of life. But unlike with Moony, I don't see these two gals breaking up anytime soon.
Thank you so much for sending this in! It was very fun to imagine ^^ I hope you enjoy!
