CNN Host Plays Compilation of Trump Calling Enemies ‘Fascist’ After Guest Complains Name-Calling Leads to Violence

The CNN host played several clips of Trump calling his opponents communists and fascists after Ben Ferguson complained name-calling was lead

CNN host Abby Phillip played several clips of President Donald Trump calling his political opponents “communists” and “fascists” on Wednesday after conservative guest Ben Ferguson complained that such name-calling was leading to violence.

“After the assassination of my friend Charlie Kirk, and after multiple attacks on ICE facilities, I would hope that leaders in the Democratic Party, and one of those leaders is Gavin Newsom, would know better than to go on TV and say that ICE agents are the bad guys and that they’re authoritarian and then expect that no one’s going to listen to what he’s saying or respond to it,” said Ferguson during a debate on CNN NewsNight.

Phillip responded, “Let me just ask you a question about that, OK? Because I think at the heart of so much of this is your insistence that using certain words leads to violence. Is that what you’re saying?”

‘Victim shaming 101’: Fox News clutches pearls over Trump criticism

Fox News won’t stop exploiting the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting any time soon.

Looks like Fox News doesn’t plan to stop exploiting the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting any time soon.  During an episode of “The Faulkner Focus” on Monday, pundit Ben Ferguson somehow managed to take it a step further, this time by comparing criticism of President Donald Trump to shaming a victim of rape. “It’s victim shaming 101. This is no different than if someone’s raped and you say, ‘Well she was dressed scandalous for the club, so she kind of deserved it,” he said. “Donald Trump is trying to calm it down while the left keeps ratcheting it up.” Feguson insisted that the Democratic Party’s criticisms of Trump—including “calling this president a Nazi, Hitler, a dictator, a tyrant”—are “inspiring people to try to kill the president of the United States of America.” Both Ferguson and host Harris Faulkner also complained that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ criticism of Trump is “off the charts.”

This rhetoric echoes the same claims made in the immediate aftermath of the shooting by GOP members of Congress, who sought to blame Democrats for the attack.

Hey Ben Ferguson, criticism of Donald Trump isn’t akin to victim-blaming a rape survivor.

CNN political commentator Ben Ferguson regularly uses his Facebook page—which has over 800,000 followers—to post memes with false information and fabricated quotes, including many that mock Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for purportedly being stupid.

He also pushes bigotry on his page, including claiming that Islam is a religion “that sends out people from PRAYER in church to kill people and burn down buildings” and posting a meme of Black people in Ferguson, MO, with text saying, “Looting: when free food, housing, phones, healthcare & education aren’t enough.”

While CNN has said it is committed to “facts first,” it continues to associate itself with Ferguson.
