16.08.20 - I didn鈥檛 really have a plan for today鈥檚 training, but I ended up working on this trick (called Cocoon). I normally do this with my inside leg on the pole as it feels more secure, but for a combo I鈥檓 working on I need to do it with the outside leg, so that鈥檚 what I practised. I think I could go deeper into the stretch, but I hadn鈥檛 warmed up my back so I didn鈥檛 want to push it. Hopefully in a few months I鈥檒l have some progress pictures!

17.11.19 - a little back bend training. Really trying to open up my upper & mid back, instead of compensating by hyperextending through my shoulders and lumbar spine.
25.09.23 - It's been a hot minute since I did bridge. I did a really energetic yoga flow today and was really warm, so I decided to squeeze a bridge in before finishing up and was pleasantly surprised. My upper back is doing absolutely nothing, annoyingly, but given I didn't actually focus much on back bends this session, I'll take it.
23.08.20 - I learned this stretch in contortion class on Tuesday and loved how it felt on my upper back! I don鈥檛 quite feel like I got in the right position today, but it still felt good. Maybe someday I鈥檒l actually see some improvement in my back bends...
18.08.20 - today on #missionbumhat - this felt bendier than it looked, but I鈥檓 still quite pleased with it, especially given my back鈥檚 been feeling really stiff lately. I think I overdid it slightly the other week 馃槶 I still need to get that pesky upper back to work harder, but I think it鈥檚 starting to get there... maybe.
