Watched Third Star again

2nd time. I finally got my brother to watch it with me and it was so much better, laughing together with him. I managed not to cry this time; I think it was the fact that I knew it was going to be tragically sad this time and actively forced myself to not cry. It's quite easy actually; just do arithmetic in your head. I don't remember which is which, but emotion, and therefore tears are controlled by your left side of the brain but doing math requires you to use your right brain. ( though it could be reversed, cant really remember which is which) Therefore it slows the onset of tears and if you continue to do arithmetic, you can prevent crying altogether. I perfected this technique a long time ago though I didn't think to use it the first time I watched Third Star. I think it had to do with the fact that I was so captivated by the movie that I didn't even realize I was crying until it was too late. My brother did not shed a single tear; are they really that less emotional than girls or is it that they're better at hiding it? Hmm. But he admitted it was sad and after it finished, we argued a bit over the ending and whether what happened was crazy or not. All in all, it was a very good experience and I've decided I'm going to make him watch anther Benedict Cumberbatch movie with me. As soon as I finish this massive pile of homework ad studying.
