S: it’s late now.. *smiles painfully*

it’s time to sleep..

S: *smiles and rests his head on tony’s shoulder*

Just know that i feel grateful you’re letting me be happy on my birthday.. You did nothing wrong today.

*pauses&looks up at tony*

Today was the most glorious day of my life. Thank you for that..

And for the other days that you chose to spend with me.. no matter what you’ll get through..

Always remember that i’ve never regret spending any of those days by your side..

*notices that stephen’s breath is getting slower and slower and suddenly feels like he’s the only one breathing in the quiet bedroom*

*checks his pulse and hugs him tighter than he ever did afterwards, drowning in his own tears after finding out the love of his life has become a goner in his own arms and getting haunted by his beautiful last words*
