Y/N rushed forward, pushing the double doors open with her weight as she panted.
“I’m here!” Y/N screamed, eyes locking onto Beomgyu and Hyunwoo’s figure squaring off together in front of the helicopter.
Their tense figures turned to the girl, Beomgyu’s alarmed eyes locking on the princess.
“Y/N—“
“Don’t touch him, Hyunwoo. Please.” Y/N said, straightening up as her eyes locked onto the glinting sword hanging by the prince’s waist. “I’m here. I’ll go. Just don’t hurt my friends.”
“Y/N.” Hyunwoo raised his eyebrows in amusement, crossing his arms. “Nice of you to finally come and do something for your country. For once.”
The girl froze.
“Shut the fuck up.” Beomgyu hissed at the prince before turning promptly and running over to the girl. “Y/N.”
“What were you thinking?” Y/N said, reaching up and running her hands through his hair. “He’s insane and has a fucking sword.”
“I was thinking I need to save you and your family.” Beomgyu replied, closing his eyes and leaning his forehead on hers.
“Guys, he’s getting more pissed, I think.” Soobin said, inching closer to the couple as scared eyes stared over at Hyunwoo—whose hand now rests on the hilt of his sword.
“Get off my wife.” Hyunwoo commanded with tightened hands on the sword, making the boys look over at him quizzically.
“She’s not your wife.” Beomgyu spat, turning over with a glare.
“Not yet.”
“Beomgyu, just leave it alone.” Y/N said angrily, glaring at Hyunwoo.
She turned back to Beomgyu, pushing him away gently.
“This is my problem. I’ll fix it.”
“No, Y/N. You tried to go to your kingdom alone. It’s a one-way ticket to dying—don’t you understand why we’re trying to save you?” Beomgyu said.
“I don’t need you to save me. I need you at home—far away from Hyunwoo and safe from him.” Y/N said.
“I’m not going to be okay with leaving you in danger, okay? You said it yourself, he’s insane and he has a sword and has your country on lockdown. I can’t. I love you too much to—“
“That’s enough.” Hyunwoo drew the sword.
Y/N can feel Taehyun and Hueningkai’s hands softly pulling her closer to them and farther away from the prince.
“Get your peasant hands off of my bride.”
“Don’t call them that.” Y/N glared at him. “You can get me, but keep your hands off of any of them.”
Hyunwoo rose his eyebrows in amusement.
“You exert and waste your efforts over these—“
“I’m serious, Hyunwoo. Not a strand of hair on his head, and my family free.” Y/N glared. “Promise me that and you can have me.”
Hyunwoo nodded, sheathing his sword and holding his hand out.
“It’s time to stop this out-of-control fairytale, princess. Come home to me.” Hyunwoo said.
“You will never be home to me.” Y/N glared.
Still, she locked her hand with Beomgyu’s squeezing once.
“I’m sorry.”
“Babe, please. Don’t.”
“I have to go.”
Beomgyu’s grip on her hand slackened, eyes squeezing shut as the princess pulled away. She took slow tentative steps towards the tyrant prince.
“It’s over, Y/N.”
“I agree.” Yeonjun hummed from his position by the door, smiling as he wrapped his arm around Soobin. “That’s why I made sure to call ahead and make the arrangements.”
Before anyone can do anything, the helicopter door opened. Jumping out of the vehicle was Beomgyu’s brother, a smug smile on his face as he aggressively pulled the on the prince’s hands—locking them up with handcuffs. Beside him, another agent popped up to speedily disarm the prince by disconnecting the sword and sheath from his waist.
“Prince Hyunwoo, you are arrested by the International Agency of Security for treachery, genocide, and multiple other state crimes. Also, bringing a sword to an airport is illegal, in like… all existing countries, I guess.” Taehyun said before he jumped up and down, looking over to Yeonjun and Soobin with a proud smile. “That was fun. I always wanted to do that.”
Kai only smiled giddily, clapping.
“Wh-What…” Y/N said in surprise as Beomgyu came over next to him.
“You didn’t seriously think I wouldn’t plan ahead, didn’t you?”
“But Soobin…”
“I’m a great actor!” Soobin huffed in triumph, hands over his hips proudly.
Agent Choi passed by, tight grip on a struggling Hyunwoo.
“This isn’t right! My guards will get you all! You will not escape this alive—“
“The country has been cleaned out the moment you left. Plus, you brought guards from Arcadium. Their loyalties all lie with the princess.” Agent Choi shook his head, eyes falling on Y/N. “We’ll talk later, Y/N. But good job, guys.”
Yeonjun and Taehyun, the masterminds, smiled proudly as Agent Choi ruffled Kai’s hair before leaving.
“It’s… It’s over, right?”
“It’s done. No more Hyunwoo.” Beomgyu said, head on her shoulder. “You’re free.”
Tears welled up on Y/N’s eyes as she twirled around, hands on his cheeks and lips crashing on his. Beomgyu smiled in the kiss, pulling her waist closer.
“Well, I’m traumatized.” Kai mumbled.
“You’ll understand when you’re older.” Taehyun nodded, making the two older boys look at each other.
“You’re the same age.”
Everything was perfect—Happy ever after.
