Ippudo Ramen Restaurant, The Gardens. Decided to try their Ippudo Kuro Ramen. Ippudo Kuro Ramen is an offering of ramen bathing in tonkotsu broth, topped with BBQ pork, flavored black fungus, spring onions, spicy blended miso paste and fragrant garlic. It was a mind blowing encounter. The broth alone was so aromatic that it really needed no extra seasoning. I liked the chewey texture of the ramen that goes so well with the BBQ pork. You can really taste the fragrance of the pork in the broth. The flavored black fungus lended its taste to the ramen, while the egg became one with the taste of the soup. I would say that I am impressed with the flavor, elegance and fragrance of Ippudo Kuro Ramen. My new #2 ramen in Sydney (just behind Gumshara) comes from the very unexpected @buttersydney - we visited yesterday with @wheresthefoodaus to film an episode on their donuts and I stayed for lunch with friends and was recommended for @iamsophiawai to try their ramen. Just heavenly!!! Butter’s Fried Chicken Ramen is on another level of deliciousness and from what I can find people queue for this amazing bowl! In place of smoky pork chasu, you'll find two tenders of fried chicken. It comes in a rich tonkotsu and chicken broth, with an egg and enoki mushrooms, and the bowl is $20. Well worth it for this deliciousness.
