Eva fell in love with Federico like you would climb down stairs. With Gio, it was more of a slap in the face kind of realization, in a ‘you’re in love with your friend’s boyfriend, nice job, enjoy the pain’ way. But not this time. She is aware of it. She climbs down the steps one after the other, falls in love a little bit more at each, sometimes she even trips down a couple at a time.

   It doesn’t mean it’s not still scary as fuck from time to time. It is. It really is.

   Sometimes, when she goes to his place in Milan for a weekend, she finds herself staring at his sleeping face for hours and wonder what the hell she’s doing. Or when she is at school or at a party, people around her begin to whisper how can she be so stupid, does she really think he is not having sex with every girl he can find. She could punch every single one of their stupid faces. She doesn’t want to worry about her relationship with Federico, about his womanizer tendencies, about what’s going to happen next.

   She doesn’t want to worry about something so easy, because it’s easy to be in love with Federico.

   When they’re calling and texting each other about the smallest things, when he suddenly comes back for the weekend and asks her if she wants to go for an adventure. When he grumbles that he misses Edo looking embarrassed by the admission. When he doesn’t back down from a very awkward meeting with her parents and presents himself like everything is fine, when he grumbles against his dumbasses of friends and that it’s sucks because now Edoardo, their ‘brain’, is in America, there is no one to stop them from doing really stupid things  When he hugs her and kissed her hair, when he draws a trail of kisses down her stomach and cheekily looks up to her, when they hang out together and try to forget the exams season is coming. And it makes her feel euphoric.

   Eva doesn’t say ‘I love you’. She tells him that he has a nice face, which is a good thing if he fails uni. That he should never enter a kitchen ever again because no one should be allowed to fail pasta. She tells him she would gladly skip school if he skips with her.  She tells him about the comments she gets at school and how she would have transferred two years ago if it didn’t mean leaving the girls and Martino behind. She tells him about Eleonora’s sad face when someone talks about her boyfriend and if he thinks it would make her happy if they buy her a plane ticket for Christmas or if Edoardo thinks of coming back for the holidays. She tells him about the morning bus that always leaves without her.

   But Eva doesn’t say ‘I love you’. Because she doesn’t know if he does love her back, or if he’s going to say it back without meaning it and she doesn’t want to worry about that. She doesn’t want things to change. So instead, she smiles against his skin and laughs at her phone and her heart expands in her chest.

   And she is happy climbing down the stairs.

Halloween Prank

Title: Halloween Prank

Chapter: Oneshot

Description:  Jack is busy preparing for this year's Halloween party. Gabriel gets bored making his Halloween costume and decides that a prank is in order

Fall was, undoubtedly, Jack Morrison’s favorite season. As a child he loved the changing color of the leaves and jumping into freshly-raked piles to watch the deep yellows, oranges, and reds swirl back into the air around him. As he got older, the scent of pumpkin pie and Halloween cookies became more appealing, and when he became the Strike-Commander of Overwatch, he took the duty of being the unofficial Halloween chef and the infamous host of the annual Halloween parties. They started out small, with only a handful of close friends who all brought a dish to contribute but soon they expanded to all of the Overwatch heroes being invited. Jack spent the whole month of October planning between missions and picking up various decorations from various places he visited. Candied skulls ordered early from Dorado, strings of lights shaped as ghosts and zombies and various other spooky creatures from Japan, pastries and chocolates from Switzerland when the holiday got closer, and of course all of the ingredients he would need for his signature vampire soup (really it was just creamy tomato, but everyone liked to pretend it was blood).

This year was no different. The scent of pumpkin pie baking in the oven hung heavy in the air, Jack cutting cookies into the shape of witches and wizards and cats, a pot of his vampire soup on the verge of boiling set on the stove. This had all become a familiar ritual to Jack’s husband, Gabriel Reyes, though he normally stayed out of it, too busy making his famously excellent costume. But this year, Gabriel found himself drawn by the smells wafting from the kitchen and Jack’s melodic whistling. Besides, Gabriel thought he could use a break. He wiggled his fingers, sore from sewing for hours on end, and pushed himself up out of his chair. However, seeing the large pumpkin mask on the edge of his desk gave him an idea. He smirked, picking it up and holding it between his hands. Jack was going to hate him, but Gabriel couldn’t help himself as he lifted the mask up and placed it carefully on his head.

Jack was whistling a tune, a pleasant smile on his face as he stirred the creamy vampire soup. He swayed to his own music, lost in thoughts of what spices would taste best and how much longer the pie would take so he could put the cookies in the oven. He lifted the spoon, taking a small sip of the hot soup, not noticing the shadow creeping behind him from the other room. It loomed over him for a moment, Jack oblivious as he put more chopped basil into the pot and stirred, and then, once the blonde man’s hands were well away from the hot surface, the shadow leaped on him.

There was a shriek as Jack came face-to-face with a devious, grinning pumpkin that was much too close for comfort. His back hit the edge of the pot of soup, sloshing it, as he scrambled away. The shadow grabbed his sides and pulled him away from the hot stove and for a moment Jack struggled, trying to wriggle out of its grasp before he heard a low, rumbling laugh come from within the mask.

“Gabriel!” He scolded, and it was only then that the other man let him go as Jack shoved him backwards, scowling. He could see the sparkle from behind the triangles cut into the mask. “You almost made me spill the soup everywhere!”

Gabriel took the mask off, placing it gingerly on a counter, grinning. “I would apologize, but the look on your face was too cute to regret.”

Jack’s cheeks reddened and he turned back to the vampire soup, watching it bubble in the pot before his husband curled an arm around his midsection and pulled him back against his chest. Gabriel pressed a kiss to Jack’s temple. “Happy Halloween, cariño.”

So I actually did write this on Halloween and posted it at that time on AO3 but I guess it’s never too late for some Reaper76 silliness.

Okay, so I'm literally trying to work on three things at once. Still, though, I wrote the beginning of the next chapter of the War Against Giygas.

Same; I'm going back and forth between RPing and a couple fanfictions myself. Just remember to take your time, it is summer after all.

Space. A massive void that is practically limitless. Stars were dotted around the darkness, the lights being numerous in the Kirby universe. There was the occasional bit of space debris, a meteor, a bit of space debris that looked like a spaceship, a...  oh, hang on. That isn’t space junk that looks like a spaceship - it was a spaceship made out of junk. Oh sorry, my mistake. Truly, I am a shitty narrator.

Inside of the ship was our heroic trio: Fox, the idiot ace pilot, Meta Knight, the reasonable authority figure, and Pikachu, the sometimes unreasonable jerk with a heart of hold. Fox was at the very front, manning the controls as he flew the junk Arwing that he built himself. “It feels so great to be flying again!” he laughed.

Pikachu smiled at him. It was nice to see that he was truly happy. “Just try not to crash this thing, okay?”

Meta Knight was in the very back, resting. “How long have we been flying, already?”

Fox looked back at them, unintentionally frightening them - his eyes were bloodshot red. “Almost a full day. Why?”

“...You... need to get some rest.” an unsettled Meta Knight said. “Look, allow me to take the controls...”

“But...  but...” the pilot made a really sad face.

“F-Fox, please don’t give me those sad eyes. You could endanger our lives.”

“...Okay...” he unbuckled his seatbelt and climbed over them into the farthest seat. “I’m not tired tho-” then he promptly fell asleep.

Unfortunately, he fell asleep on top of Meta Knight. The puffball squeezed his way out from below Fox, clambered over Pikachu and got behind the pilot’s seat. However, once there, Meta Knight immediately spotted what Fox’s tired eyes could not see. “Fox...  your Arwing is running out of power.”

Fox just snored.

Pikachu violently shook him awake.

“Huh, what?” he said groggily. “...Oh yeah...  um... I have no idea what Warp Stars run on and I used a Warp Star engine and....  um... it’s running on gasoline and I think this eats it up very fast and...”

He went back to sleep.

“...Well, I hope we actually get anywhere before we run out of power and get stranded in the middle of...” Pikachu heard a rumbling noise. “... nowhere...”

Up ahead, there was an armada of spaceships, heading in their direction. All of them were different sizes, with different designs, but they all were colored ominously with red, and it wouldn’t take a scientist to figure out the significance of that color.

Meta Knight was stunned. “...Fox, did you build any weapons into this?”

“...Why...  what’s happen...”

The ships closed in. They were close enough that one of the bigger ships could just ram into the makeshift Arwing and kill all of its occupants in an instant.

However, that was not the case.

In fact, the Giygas affiliated airships just went past them, nor did they bother to make contact.

Still, it scared the shit out of the trio. “...What was that about?” the Pokemon said.

“W-Well, they’re likely going to Pop Star to deal with the revolution we left behind.” Meta Knight answered.

“...Oh right, I forgot about that. Geez, that was months ago...  in real time. Damn it Hyper, you really got to get your shit together.”

Oh. Well, I’m sorry your highness. I’m trying to juggle between three stories at once, and, in fact, one more story will be coming out of hiatus soon. It’s hard. It’s hard and you don’t understand.

“Well maybe you shouldn’t started so many stories.”

….Yeah, you’re right. I am a scumbag.

  ((I honestly do not have much to add to this, I believe it's fine the way it is. I know that doesn't help you much, but I can't really add more.

I think my only concern is that by adding a time reference for the story (saying in the middle of the story that the last update was months ago) might make readers in the future think about the schedule (especially when it's finished). Or maybe your readers are smarter than me and don't dwell on stupid things of irrelevance to the plot; they probably are.

Still, I enjoy seeing these three again and I'm glad you'll have more interaction in the story once more. I have to ask though; while editing this, I found it irrelevant to put the story under a 'read more' since aside from the bottom comments, I'm literally just resending the story to you.

In future submissions, what I may do is I might pick out things from the story that I would usually high-light and put them in the post. The rest of the story I would save just in case you may lose the files (unless you say otherwise). I have to apologize if this seems more of a hassle than it should be, I'm new to beta-reading on Tumblr (despite how convenient it is).

Anyone want to proof-read this story for me real fast?

It's basically a fanfiction of The Odyssey, for Mythology class. We had to write a new adventure for Odysseus. Mine is based on the Alp-Luachra.

An Alp Luachra ... is an evil, greedy fairy from Irish mythology. When a person falls asleep by the side of a spring or stream, the Alp-luachra appears in the form of a newt and crawls down the person's mouth, feeding off the food that they had eaten.

Douglas Hyde's Beside the Fire[3] tells of how a person got back at an Alp-luachra by eating large amounts of salted meat and sleeping near the stream. The Alp-luachra fed upon him, but jumped to the water in thirst.
