It's all worship...
A father drives his kids to their various clubs, stopping and smiling at the other parents as he drops them off. He's that kind of guy, always sunny, the first to volunteer for the school trip or bakesale. That's worship.
Mia, the local barista, always adds an extra sprinkle of chocolate on top of people's coffees. At the weekends, she walks around her city handing out essentials to the homeless and picking up rubbish in the park. That's worship.
John is a quiet sort, but three days a week he works at the barber shop and is the best listener they've ever had. The men that go in there might never go to therapy, but a trim and a chat with John always lifts a weight off their shoulders - John might not think it's much, but I'm sure he's saved lives. That's worship.
Your best friend, always there to fight your conrer, bakes the best cookies and gives the warmest of hugs. They care so much about the planet and it's people, they read countless articles, never miss a protest, signs all the petitions they can and still makes sure to walk the old lady nextdoors dog. That's worship.
The friendly postie who always smiles at the kids on their way to school, the bin man who never complains, the nurse who always knows how to soothe an anxious mother or scared patient, the taxi driver that gets the girls home safely after a night out, the football coach who invests in the slower kids. That's worship
I don't need to see you attending a specific building every Sunday, I don't care how much you read your Bible, how often you pray, how much you serve at church if when you leave those pews your life isn't worship. Only playing worhsip songs in your house means nothing if you cross the road when you see a homeless person, if you scowl at the lady making your coffee, or you shout at the nurse who's just trying to make ends meet.
Whatever you do, do it in love, your cups of tea, your happy birthdays, evry single smile that beams from your face - everything you do that makes you uniquely, divinely you - that's worship, that's what it means to be the church like Jesus intended - not just go to church.
That's how we should live...
