Silent Reflections

You don't truly know someone

Can't possibly know the battles they are facing inside

Struggling with both sides of themselves...

The good and the bad,

Their head and heart.

False outward appearances,

Trying to fit into a mould

That wasn't meant for them.

Only doing as they are told.

Looking in the mirror

Only they can see,

What they are and strive to be.

Yet pressured to form

Into the "perfect" box,

Creating turmoil within...

How do I fit in?

Break loose from the chains that bind.

Be true to yourself,

Open THEIR minds.

Let them see

Who you really are.

No more silence.

Be you,

Be happy!

Be true!!
