PSA that I feel we all need to hear, it’s not always your fault if your betta dies. You can literally give them the best quality of life, and they will still die, because they are so incredibly inbred and over produced that their genetics are shit. I’ve been keeping bettas for probably 6ish years now, and even with perfect parameters, a large tank, heaters and filters, they can still develop all sorts of illnesses. At the end of the day, all that matters is you provided them with a loving home, and that you cared for them as best you could.

Everyone Meet Dæmon!

He is a Crown Tail Betta and has been with me for 3 months! The Fishy Boy had been gifted to me by an acquaintance of mine who no longer wanted wanted him.

Can I get some name suggestions? I’ve had him for about three weeks, sharing a divided tank with Khaleesi who just wants to fight him all the time. He’s finally getting his own tank this week so I figured he should have a name too, it’s been long enough you know?

Betta rescue and adoption is a go! Meet the first adoptable!

Julian is an adult male crowntail. He’s still getting used to his new tank, so he’s a bit clamped, but relaxing.

He’s got a bit of swelling, a couple holes in his tail, and it looks like his gills are a bit inflamed or burned from ammonia. Once he heals up and fills out, he’s going to be so handsome.

Saved a baby from a friend. I know tge new set up isnt ideal but its what i had 9n hand when she dropped this little girl off.

Introducing my new rescue fish, Dreamy! Someone gave him to my sister as a birthday present at her job but she's a manager there and always too busy to take proper care. Knowing this, she bequeathed him to me and we are literally already best friends. I threw this together with spare supplies I had and will be getting him a heater tonight. He's doing much better in his new environment. This guy is badass. I seeded his tank with rocks, stones plants and a mason jar I had in Wish's tank and filled his water halfway with some of Wish's so his cycle is primed and ready to go! Wishes and Dreamy, my tiny dancers :)
