#betta spawning

I'm trying to get my bettas to spawn but the female is more aggressive than the male so I don't think it's gonna happen lmao. He's really interested, but she's flaring more than he is.

Kyros is catching and returning the same three falling eggs over and over again. I wonder why they won't stay in the nest like the rest of the eggs. I watch him spit them back into the nest, even different spots around the nest, but the fall out immediately. Poor baby is probably exhausted. Just one or two more days, Kyros! You can do it! You get those eggies to hatch!

But how long am I going to need to watch them? Somebody has to drive my cousin back to her car eventually...

I still don't know if Ilana and George have done it yet, unless they did it while we were all sleeping. (Since nobody was getting it on while we watched but nobody was hurting each other, we'd let them have the night together).

These two are pretty busy! We've been up for like an hour and a half and we don't know if they started them or earlier. I'm kind of thinking earlier? Because when we came to check on them, I was like, her tail fin is clamped thats not exactly a good sign??? And then they got it on. Her tail fin is still clamped.

God, what an awful name.

So, this is it.

George and Ilana are in the tank together, swimming around, flirting, etc.

He's being a good boy. She's taken a little damage but he's not forcing her over to the nest or anything. She's taking her time! Taking photos atm, recorded some video, will record more when they get busy!!!
