Imagine that Loki kept a journal as an older child and adolescent. After he bewitches Odin and takes him to Earth so he could take his place, Loki goes to his old room and finds the journal he hasn’t touched in decades, and hides it away so he can read over it when he’s alone. He learns a lesson from his younger self and applies it to his new life as King of Asgard.
