Sidney Branch was born in Phoenix, Arizona to loving parents. For six years she was the only child. She was spoiled by her parents and usually got what she wanted. This didn't exactly make her a bad kid, but she just got used to this being the way things were. However, when her mother had a second child, Samantha, everything changed for Sidney. Suddenly her parents didn't have as much time for her and Sidney didn't like this one bit. She had to share with her little sister, and as they got older, they had to share more and more.

Once she got to high school, she took the intro class to the criminal justice program. She found she had a knack for crime solving. During Sidney's senior year of high school, her and Samantha were walking to the car when they got in an argument over something small and unimportant. Samantha stormed away and Sidney sped off in her car. Later that night, the Branch family got a call that Samantha had been mugged and was in the hospital. Sidney was determined to find out who had hurt her sister.  She became a certified PI just months after graduating high school and she solved cases small cases for a few years, mostly tailing cheating husbands.

One day, a mysterious man came knocking on the door. He sat down with the family and told them their daughter was something called a slayer. Whatever it was it sounded important and Sidney was excited until she realized that it was Samantha who was the slayer. They told the Branch family they wanted to take Samantha to New York to train, and Sidney insisted on going with them. She learned all she could about the supernatural world through the watchers, trying her best to expand her PI business to stranger cases. Work was slow until one day she saw a sign in a window. "Angel Investigations  We Help The Helpless...Now Hiring". 

Sidney currently assists Angel as one of his leading detectives.

Anya was born in Sweden in the year 860. Her human name was Aud and she fell in love with a man named Olaf, a Viking warrior who enjoyed hunting trolls and drinking ale. After a night of heavy drinking, Olaf was unfaithful and in an act of revenge, Anya turned him into a troll. The demon D'Hoffryn took note of her act and offered her a chance to become a vengeance demon. She accepted his offer, taking on the name Anyanka and spending over a thousand years as a patron saint of scorned women, exacting revenge on men who mistreated their loved ones. She came to Sunnydale in the guise of a student named Anya to convince a scorned Cordelia to make a wish of vengeance against Xander Harris. Things went wrong and Anya's power center was broken by the wishverse Rupert Giles, turning her into her human form again. Trapped as a human and stripped of her immortality and power, Anya struggled to adjust. She pursued a relationship with Xander Harris, her final mark, and he attempted to guide her through the world. She became initiated as a member of the so-called Scooby Gang but didn't always feel like she fit in, though she did find her niche working at the Magic Box with Giles, using her hundreds of years of knowledge and head for business to her advantage. She and Xander separated when he left her at the altar and scorned, she became a vengeance demon again briefly, only to give up her powers and return to help the Scooby Gang fight the first evil when she realized she didn't have the heart to inflict such acts of torment any longer. Anya lost her life in the battle for the hellmouth before it was finally closed. Nearly a year had passed since Anya's death. She had died defending the world and she did not know why she would have been given life again. Not one to complain about things that were of benefit to her, though, Anya chose not to spend too much time questioning it. Answers would come, or they wouldn't. She soon discovered that the world she had awoken in was filled with just as many threats, both supernatural and human, as it had been before she died. Doing some digging, she discovered that the former Scooby Gang had relocated to New York and set out to find them, both to discover the meaning behind her resurrection and, perhaps if it was convenient, or she was asked really nicely, to help fight the good fight.

Little does she know that her former employer D'Hoffryn was the reason behind her revival, and it is only a matter of time before he asks for some form of payment for the favor he has granted her.

Lexie grew up in a small town in Nebraska, the kind where every one of your neighbors knew your business  and there was nothing you could do about it. One of those one general store, park in the middle of town square sorts of places. She hated it there. Hated all the nosy people. Hated how her parents expected her to marry the boy two doors down because they said so. Hated how her musical and aesthetic tastes were frowned upon. She dyed her hair black, wore leather jackets and tight jeans. Whatever she could to be outside the norm, because normal was what she hated. Music was Lexie's outlet, her calling. She found a guitar in her basement that had belonged to her grandfather and taught herself how to play. She would drive out of town to play gigs at coffee houses for a few extra bucks, but never enough to do what she really wanted: get the hell out of dodge. Finally she got accepted to UCLA on a music scholarship, and as soon as she could, packed her bags for California and never looked back.

College was great, until one night at a party she was..."experimenting" with a girl when said girl bit her a little too hard, breaking the skin. She kicked the girl out of her dorm and put a bandage on it, not giving it a second thought. A week later the full moon hit, and Lexie changed. The next thing she remembered was waking up in a field, the whole front of her body covered in blood. She stole a blanket from a clothesline and returned to her dorm, only to find multiple police cruisers and ambulances outside, hauling body bag after body bag out of the dorm. She realized what she'd done, and felt the guilt setting in. She ran, knowing she could never return. She lived in hotels and alleyways, trying her best to get by off of money from small-time gigs in bars. Every month during the full moon cycle, she'd rent a storage unit and lock herself inside for the night, determined not to repeat her first change.

One night the storage unit wasn't enough, and she somehow got out. The Angel Investigations team got the call of a werewolf on the loose, and captured Lexie after a good, hard fight. After changing back, Lexie begged them to kill her, but they refused, telling her there was still hope to live a normal life. They debated keeping her there with them, to watch her during her changes, but Angel suggested a better idea, knowing just the man to send her to. A man he knew a few years ago that had overcome the wolf inside, and could control his transformations. He booked a flight the first of that month to send Lexie to meet Oz Osbourne, hoping he could do something for not only the wolf inside her, but the troubled soul that shared space with it.

The only daughter of Watcher Christoph Weatherby, Felicity lost her mother the moment she was born. Since then, she was raised in a strict, but generally loving household, afforded all of the opportunities of her status and wealth, and for all intents and purposes was an intelligent, genteel and well behaved child. It was after she took an interest in magic and the supernatural world that she approached her father, asking him if it might be possible for her to follow in his footsteps. She promptly revealed that she had been following much of the events of the supernatural world, and his work, as well as having spent much of her free time studying the occult of her own volition. He voiced some mild objections, but in the end, she was able to convince him. She was in her second semester of classes when the news of the attack on the Council reached her ears, as well as the news of her father’s death. Shocked, and devastated, she retreated for some months, before she determined that she was, in fact, still intent on doing what she could to help and reached out to Rupert Giles.

She began the remainder of her training in the new Council’s ways, once those ways had been determined, and after graduation, became an official Watcher. She soon requested a position in Scotland to work with Mr. Wesley Wyndam-Pryce and alongside Slayer Faith Lehane in helping the Slayers that reside at the facility there. Her life up until then, remained completely normal as she was unaware of a whole other part to her; she was a manae demon, the last of her kind. Retrieved as an infant from a Council ordered raid on a demonic hive, it was determined by her father after some study of her species, now nearly extinct, that it – she – might be worth keeping an eye on, and perhaps shaping the creature into something that could be useful, to the Council, to the world, or perhaps, more specifically, him.

Her father believed that with a strict hand and a careful eye that he would contain her, even use her as needed, if needed. What records remained of her were scattered, mostly destroyed or well hidden in the Council’s archive. With all of this a mystery to her, Felicity continued her work as a Watcher until the rise of the Headless Horseman and pose a threat to the very Slayers she’d sworn to protect, uprooting her from her life and sending her to New York, a place that had become a beacon for the supernatural.

Lilah graduated from Mortonson University School of Law with high honors. She then joined the Los Angeles branch of the evil law firm, Wolfram & Hart in that year. She went from Junior Associate in her first year before becoming a Senior Associate just a few years later. During the course of her work, Lilah came into contact with a vampire vigilante known as Angel. With her partner and rival Lindsey McDonald, Lilah attempted several times to take Angel down one way or another, even attempting to strip him of his soul. After Lindsey left the firm, she became first the vice president of the Special Projects Division. 

When Wesley Wyndam-Pryce left Angel Investigations after he was manipulated into kidnapping Angel's infant son, Connor, Lilah attempted to persuade him to turn to the dark side with her as revenge against his former friends. She and Wesley had frequently conflicting interests but maintained a mutual sexual attraction - and an arguable affection - for one another. Even during her relationship with Wesley, Lilah remained just as ruthless, attempting to use the divide and conquer tactic on Angel and his team even after Wesley had shown loyalty to them.

When a nearly invincible demon known as the Beast arose and started what seemed like an apocalypse, he massacred almost everyone within Wolfram & Hart. Lilah was injured but managed to escape with help from Wesley. Around the same time as the beast surfaced, Angel lost his soul. He escaped from the cage that the Angel Investigations employees had locked him in and went after Lilah. She managed to save herself but was then killed by a possessed Cordelia Chase who stabbed her through the neck with one of the beast's bones to make it seem as though Angel had bitten her. Wesley was forced to behead Lilah, since he believed she could rise again as a vampire.

An employment contract with Wolfram & Hart did not terminate with death and Lilah returned from Hell wearing a scarf around her neck to hide the scar from Wesley's axe. She presented Angel and his team with a tempting offer: full control of the Los Angeles branch of Wolfram and Hart with all its resources. She transferred to the New York office of Wolfram & Hart. There she remained until the senior partners decided it was time to bring Lindsey back too. After the rise of the Headless Horseman, the senior partners instructed Lilah and Lindsey to work together, fighting any force that might stop the various supernatural creatures taking control of the earth and subjecting humans to their will. This meant that once again, Lilah had to work with Lindsey and work as an opposing force to Wesley.

Harmony was one of the most popular girls in high school. As a social butterfly and cheerleader, she was one of the most influential characters in school - behind Cordelia Chase, of course. She even got to take Cordelia's place for a time when the queen bee's reputation took a dramatic hit after she became Xander Harris' leftovers. At her high school graduation, Harmony was transformed into a vampire by one of the undead soldiers who was helping Mayor Wilkins attach the school. Continuing with her trait to be drawn to people of a stronger disposition than herself, she began dating Spike. That didn't work out. Nor did her brief quest to establish her own vampire gang and kill the slayer. Somehow, Harmony kept coming up short. But she also kept surviving. 

Harmony travelled to Los Angeles where she resumed her friendship with Cordelia Chase, determined to become a "good vampire" and stop drinking human blood. Or so she told them. Her knack for going back on her word began when she sold out the Angel Investigations team in order to move higher up in the ranks of an underground vampire cult. Several years later, after falling out of contact with the gang, she worked for the evil law firm Wolfram & Hart as a secretary. When Angel took over the branch, she worked underneath him and was forced to try and atone for her betrayal. Harmony then felt isolated and alone. She knew that she was incompetent as an evil vampire, but her struggle to lead a more normal life was hindered because she lacked a soul. Angel often treated her with distrust and barely-masked hostility, and her input, ideas, and presence were generally ignored by his team. Harmony also experienced an inability to connect with her co-workers, who resented her quick rise to the position of the CEO's secretary. 

Ultimately, Harmony was to betray Angel yet again, revealing his private plans to her lover Marcus, who was working on behalf of the law firm's mysterious and malicious senior partners. It turned out, Harmony had even done this incorrectly. Angel had foreseen her betrayal and had only fed her information that he wanted the partners to know. When his suspicions were confirmed, he fired her. She fled back into underground Los Angeles, associating with the vampires who dwelled there. When various vampires in her group heard news of a new player in New York, they traveled to the city and Harmony followed, especially after finding out that Spike would be there.

Darla was born under an unknown name in the 15th Century in England but moved to America in her young life where she became independently wealthy as a high class prostitute. Unfortunately for her, Darla contracted a fatal case of syphillis. Dismissive of religion, she had no time or patience for the priest that came to her bedside. Not until he revealed his true identity as The Master, an ancient vampire who was so old, he had grown beyond human features. He sired her and gave her the name Darla. Over the years, she forgot her real name. In 1753, she found herself attracted to a young man named Liam and turned him into a vampire. He was to become Angelus, her ally and mate. The two wreaked destruction together across Europe - siring a young woman named Drusilla who was blessed with visions but cursed with insanity. The threesome eventually added Spike to their elite group and wreaked havoc until a gypsy curse restored Angelus' soul. Disgusted with his inability to live up to his true nature, Darla left him. 

Over the years, she held her interest in him and attempted to win him back to the dark side without success. She made a home in Sunnydale, attempting to help the Master, who had been entombed there and was unable to leave. It was there that she was staked by Angel. Nearly three years later, Darla was resurrected by Wolfram & Hart as a human. Her role was to torture Angel with her visage and turn him evil once more. As a human though, Darla was far more open to human emotion and even though Angel tried to help her cope, his efforts ended up being fruitless due to the fact that Drusilla turned her into a vampire once more. 

Angel's victory in the trial however, allowed Darla to conceive a child with him, an act that should have been impossible. She was unable to give him perfect happiness, but she was able to give him a son. After trying for months to abort the child and failing, she returned to Angel for help, giving birth to Connor in a rainy alley before abandoning him and Angel. For the next few years, fearing the lure of maternity, she lay low. She heard reports of various supernatural creatures travelling to New York and surrendering themselves to the Headless Horsemen she followed, knowing the seedy city would be ripe for the picking, completely unaware that Angel and her son were there too.

Drusilla was born in London in the nineteenth century. For as long as she could remember, she had been gifted with visions of the future. They came true, usually in tragic situations. A fact her mother abhorred. She thought them a mark of Satan. One night when Dru was twenty years old, the vampire Darla spotted her, sensing there was something unique and special about her. Darla showed Drusilla to her lover Angelus, who became obsessed with destroying the young woman psychologically and emotionally. Only after he had tortured her to the point of insanity did he turn her. Drusilla retained a childlike quality in her vampire life, keeping a collection of china dolls that she fawned over. This didn't satisfy her though. She longed for a real playmate and it was this desire that drove her to turn the bumbling poet William Pratt, later to become Spike. 

As William eventually became Spike, the two became a highly affectionate couple, in their own sick, soulless way, though their relationship was marred early on by Angelus having sex with Drusilla in order to play with Spike's head. Shortly after Angelus was cursed with a soul, Spike and Drusilla (unaware of the ensoulment) split off from Darla and Angelus to go their own way. In the twenty first century, Drusilla was tortured by a human inquisitor. The trauma left Drusilla in a weakened condition. In spite of this, Drusilla and Spike made their way to Sunnydale where they encountered Buffy Summers, the slayer. Spike had already killed two slayers and was determined to make Buffy his third. The idea thrilled Dru. She always loved it when Spike tasted of slayer blood. They also encountered Angel in Sunnydale, and used the blood of Drusilla's sire to restore her to strength. Their happiness was short-lived. Angel lost his soul and attempted to destroy the world. Spike's self-preservation inspired him to help her, and Drusilla could never recover from her feeling that he had shown weakness. 

Years later in Los Angeles, after Wolfram & Hart had brought Darla back as a human to torture Angel and hopefully make him evil, the law office learned she was dying. Rather then let her die, Drusilla was called in to sire Darla which she did forcibly. Drusilla placed Darla in a flower nursery under a star filled sky, seeing it not as a death, but as a birth and that she would then be a mother. Drusilla returned to Sunnydale to persuade Spike to join Darla and herself in reforming their "family" unit. She temporarily succeeded in allowing him to return to his dark side, rejecting his current lover Harmony Kendall. But instead, Spike seized the opportunity to try to prove his love for Buffy by offering to stake Drusilla. Heartbroken by the actions of her former lover, Drusilla departed Sunnydale and remained at large. After Darla fled underground, Drusilla joined her. 

Drusilla is now aiding Darla in the quest to battle the Angel Investigations team. When they were forced to leave LA and flee to New York, Drusilla had a vision telling her that Angel and the rest were there and that they would escape. Though she has conflicting feelings in regards to Angel, she cares deeply for Connor, despite their lack of acquaintance. She sees him as a grandchild and craves the opportunity to treat him as such.
