BG studies!

As someone that’s always preferred to draw characters, bg’s have always terrified me. In an attempt to fight against this nonsensical fear, I’ve been doing these studies between lunch breaks! the routine of only having an hour (or sometimes less) between work tasks is forcing me to simplify the shapes and get to a “finished” look as soon as I can and I’m starting to see the improvement.

I can't wait to see how my paintings will look when I reach the tenth study!
