Dreadful Aspect

As an action, the paladin channels the darkest emotions and focuses them into a burst of magical menace. Each creature of the paladin's choice within 30 feet of the paladin must make a Wisdom saving throw if it can see the paladin. On a failed save, the target is frightened of the paladin for 1 minute. If a creature frightened by this effect ends its turn more than 30 feet away from the paladin, it can attempt another Wisdom saving throw to end the effect on it.

Gale Dekarios. Professor of Blackstaff Academy, Chosen Scholar of Mystra, practically a Prince of Waterdeep.

Rumor has it, he’s brought a lover from the Gate, just south of the Coast. A maiden with skin of light dusk, donning silks of beautiful blues, bejeweled with in shining silvers, just like her braided hair. With such dainty elegance, no wonder many take her for a princess.

They say her name is Aimilios Vencoratere, and she is more than a well-dressed maiden. She carries battle scars honorably, her hands are calloused from holding a sword, even her light gaze can pierce through leather with a tough love.

Is that what Gale Dekarios is attracted to? Many find his love quite to be devotional, and the way he holds her so tenderly, one hand caressing and the other unyielding.

At the golden hour, love is when art paints itself.

A lil’ RenFaire event is going on in Blue Sky, so I’ve got a lil’ double feature on hand for the weekend!

So we start off with a recreation, inspired from the Irish painting “The Meeting on the Turret Stairs”. Although the story behind the art is more tragic than romantic, I focused more on the way the knight holds his lover, something I imagine Gale would definitely do!

My BG3 dark urge bard, Vasarra, as a companion!

If you let him give in to the urges, he eventually breaks up with you.

Vasarra is a lot like Astarion in the sense that he tries to ensure his survival by appealing to Tav. Ironically, I think if he was a companion he would not get along with Astarion initially (because they'd be rivals in trying to get Tav's attention for survival). He does eventually learn to find more things about himself outside of his urges, which is hard for him because he initially leans HARD into them. (In my playthrough, it was literally Astarion who made him question if there was more to him than his instincts.)
