APRIL WRAP-UP: 🔸The Haunted Boy by Carson McCullers. This contains three short stories, all very melancholic and beautifully written. 🔸White Teeth by Zadie Smith. Really enjoyed this one but it is not flawless. 🔸Jasmine by Bharati Mukherjee. I appreciated the story but didn’t get along with the narrative style. 🔸Time’s Arrow by Martis Amis. This book was not for me and despite being quite short it was pretty tedious to read. 🔸The Woman Warrior by Maxine Hong Kingston. I had the same problems I had with Jasmine and Time’s Arrow. Not a fun of the narrative. 🔸Rise of Empire by Michael J. Sullivan. I was so mad when I finished reading this book because I wasn’t a fan of some of the decision Sullivan took but as a whole it was a very entertaining read. 🔸Circe by Madeline Miller. I finished it this morning but I read the majority in April and it will become one of my favorites this year and it is my favourite read of the month.
